ITV have had a bit of stick this week but fair play to them for getting Ryan Moore on screen and keep him talking for about 3 minutes, it didn’t look easy.
Good job Matt Chapman keeps a bit of perspective on Winter’s performance. Unlike the rest of the team.
I missed it Ginger, what was the Chapman verdict on her performance ?
Chapman said, Winter didn’t need to be anywhere near her best to win and that Blond Me keeps the form down.
Other presenters were falling over themselves to say what a great performance it was.imo Tim… Yes, Winter deserves praise for being an adaptable, consistent filly; but – had either So Mi Dar or Queens Trust ran to their best – Winter would have needed a better performance than yesterday’s. As far as British Group 1 winning performances go it was below average.
Value Is EverythingPity, Chapman didn’t jump on the back of Winter and ride-off into the sunset never to return.
He really is obnoxious.
Having given up on ITV for the flat season after their awful Derby Day show,I was planning to return for the jumping in November but I’m not so sure now as reports do suggest they seem to have to gone full throttle on the dumbing down in the way only ITV know how.

That would be funnier than he is. My TV almost got the thrown boot treatment when he was screeching along the bookie line after Moore had won the first three.

Do they ever read any comments? I posted on their Facebook about how poor their coverage had become recently. My comment got a lot of likes and people agreed with me with their comments too. No comment from ITV team back though.
I mean really do we have to see the presenters in a hot tub before the race? Wrong, just so wrong. Racing is about the horses not egos of Z list presenters.Not keen on chamberlin or cumani, i find them bot irritating, would much prefer the atr trio of chapman,harvey and weaver

Incidently, I seem to recall Rishi Persad having been given a role on ITV but haven’t noticed him on the show.
He was on last week doing a pre recorded interview with the two Hannons at their stable
Rishi is on every now and again but I think his BBC contract must take preference as he is on there doing a multitude of other sports.
I’m upstairs, the telly is on downstairs quite low volume but I can still hear Chapman giving it the full ” YOUR NEW. HEAVYWEIGHT. CHAMPION OF THE WORRRLD….” at the Juddmonte prizegiving. Neighbours can probably hear it too.
Me too Green..That was the worst presentation for the Juddmonte I’ve ever seen. The Duke Of York was actually glazing over and I was expecting George Foreman to turn up and accept the trophy.
Matt Chapman obviously loves the sound of his own voice and for me he totally ruined and stole the thunder of those accepting their prizes.
Will someone please shut him up.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...Matt just gets a bit carried away sometimes. It’s a Chapman thing.
