IG
Thanks for the reply, illuminating as I thought it might be.
Maybe EC should have a word with Jonjo, as he’s already advising Michael Bell?
September 17, 2005 at 18:33 #66885i guess this is where it get political about racing

IG
Apologies for the disruption.
I was trying to draw attention to how the horses were trained; unfortunately EC doesn’t allow for views different to his own.
Please don’t let the bickering deter you from continuing what promises to be a very interesting and enlightening thread. The opportunity for this forum to follow the career of a top class horse from the inside is not one to spurn lightly.
Look forward to your updates on his progress.
RH
September 18, 2005 at 14:06 #66887I’m really looking forward to seeing IG over fences this season, fingers crossed with an injury free season.
If he can transfer his top class hurdling form to fences then he can go right to the top.
September 18, 2005 at 14:22 #66888ok i guess thats why it’s a popular forum,
in racing people have to repect other peoples veiw on racing for example i cant stand ap i think he’s completely big headed etc (i could go on forever moaning about him) but i have realised from being about 10 going racing with my family that there are alot of people that hate ap but on the other hand there are so many people who love the guy, i am not trying to say he’s not talanted because that would make me insaine but that’s just my veiw on things.
xx

you’ve got some interesting views and your insight is often worth heeding, but for goodness sake, lose the persecution complex!!
September 18, 2005 at 14:48 #66890yes ap is mcCoy that’s only my opinion no one should get offended by what i said about him as i said people are entitled to their opinions.
September 18, 2005 at 14:49 #66891Irisgift, just wanted to say that, like most people on here I am really looking forwards to your horse having a proper crack at chasing this year, presumably Barry will stay on until an actual conflict regarding Festival rides arises rather than a theoretical one, here’s hoping for a good, injury free season and as many top class runners at the Festival as possible.
Surely we can all raise a glass to that.
Cracking season ahead!
September 19, 2005 at 08:16 #66892you could be right but you could be so wrong lets all just wait for the festival hey
and the best mate coment i don’t think he has got it in him to win another gold cup, his day has gone in my opinion

September 19, 2005 at 16:58 #66895haha nice one
i have to say ap has got to be my least favourite jockey.
got a confession to make though tommy phelan is my favourite (don’t laugh).
September 19, 2005 at 17:01 #66896ap probably won’t get the job because some people like there horses being looked after around a track not having the s*** kicked out of them
September 19, 2005 at 17:14 #66897didn’t bother the owner and trainer when mccoy got him up to beat Ad Hoc in a novice at cheltenham a few seasons back.
September 19, 2005 at 17:21 #66898yes but as jonjo and ruby walsh both said to me ted would of beaten ad hoc by 10 lengths if he had rode the horse properly
ap doesn’t suit every horse
September 19, 2005 at 17:27 #66899anyone seen the entry’s for the 2.45 at market rasen on saturday
September 19, 2005 at 17:28 #66900Did they really? What were AP’s instructions that day then? See no reason why McCoy would not suit Iris’s Gift. The horse is very game and will keep finding plenty when asked.
September 19, 2005 at 17:30 #66901as mty dad would tell you he is suited to a quiet ride that’s why him and barry get on so well.
