Not really set on anything yet, but first one to catch my eye was Thedevilscoachman, who I have high hopes for. Darasso is one of the other JP runners I like, and I like the season he’s had. Both make big appeal, however at 16’s, I think that So Scottish looks too big too. Can see So Scottish going very short in this if he runs well on Thursday, even without winning.
The Goffer rim a big fan of, but I’m keener in him for Aintree next year, and I reckon I’d swerve him here. Too many Elliot entries to strongly consider any of them at the moment.
I like a few of Mullins, and Adamantly Chosen, Tenzing, and I Am Maximus look interesting, however at this stage probably most interested in Recite A Prayer, and Franco De Port.
Indiana Jones a nice winner last weekend, and he’s certainly on my radar.
Churchstonewarrior and Gallant John Joe another pair I like from less fashionable yards, and as much as she’s harder to make a case for, the one who I think I’ll definitely be betting in some shape or form is the current rank outsider, Fairyhill Run.
Fairyhill Run, and probably two of the above over the next few weeks, but not tempted to even think about a bet right now, especially as no doubt another dozen will start to appeal
Edit (Final Decs)
I’ll top up my shrewd 40’s Antepost on Fire Attack EW. Very difficult to whittle the field down. I’m in the unusual position of having three of my Ten To Follow horses running, and I’m with Thedevilscoachman and Royal Pagaille too. It was very hard to leave out The Goffer, but if I’m right that he’s an Aintree horse for next year, then I should be right to cool on him here. If I’m wrong I’ll bet him in running.
Fire Attack 80’s EW 7pl
Royal Pagaille 16’s
Thedevilscoachman 7’sMarch 15, 2023 at 14:43 #1639508Bronn boosting the form of Grandero Bello, who was bought for Nicky Henderson’s sister on Barry Geraghty’s advice. He’s my first bet here at 25-1.
March 15, 2023 at 19:11 #1639630Nice call Greenasgrass. Grandero is likely to be my ap bet, and the others that I’m looking at are Franco De Port and Ash Tree Meadow
March 15, 2023 at 19:57 #1639654Farclas will prob be my first play
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 15, 2023 at 21:40 #1639699I like that one too GAG, but also….Churchtownwarrior- missed the festival, but i think that could be a positive as a bit of better ground might just suit. Lost by 1/2l to Bronn over hurdles + jsut touched off by the unlucky Mahler Mission.
146 is attractive.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!March 15, 2023 at 23:36 #1639726Ash Tree Meadow a great bet Autumnal and I’ll add him too. Stamina through the pedigree and probably been targeted at this all year.
March 19, 2023 at 12:52 #1640635My two here are the two that I mentioned on the Aintree thread.
I think that the quality of entry has just slightly dipped this year, and in that case, this might be one of the rare occasions where the race being swamped with Gigginstown runners just might work.
That being the case, and we’ll know a lot more about the Aintree field around this time, I am likely to have decent amounts on Defi Bleu and Milan Native.
I see no point in betting now however, as the market is yet to take shape
March 21, 2023 at 14:18 #1640832Grandero being supported/cut.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!March 23, 2023 at 16:28 #1641077Churchstonewarrior is out;
continuing muscle problem.March 25, 2023 at 12:00 #1641311I thought that Lord Lariat would be heading for Aintree, but I’ve had an early bet on him here at 14-1
It’s a very risky approach with him being engaged at Aintree, but he’s my first bet anyway
March 29, 2023 at 14:18 #1641802Angels Dawn 16-1 ew. Looks like the horse will get into the race now.
March 30, 2023 at 14:10 #1641863I’ve decided to wait now as possible dry and sunny forecast leading up to the race.
March 30, 2023 at 19:58 #16418848 of the last 9 winners rated 144 or lower
So seems to pay to look away from those at the top of the weights
Won right handed 9/9
Won over at least 3 miles 8/9
Ran in last 2 months 8/9
Aged 6-9 8/9
Under 144 8/9April 3, 2023 at 11:03 #1642310Greenasgrass, good luck with Ash Tree Meadow, hopefully it’ll work out better for us than Grandero Bello.
I havent actually bet Ash Tree Meadow yet, but I will do along with Lord Lariat if they are left in
April 4, 2023 at 21:18 #1642421Angels Dawn 12-1 ew 5 places
April 6, 2023 at 14:27 #1642534Not really a lucky race for me, but from time to time have had the winner.
Gone in with Angel Dawn for a win, hopefully this will be a good sign for Coko Beach at Aintree
also Birchdale (each way).
You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.April 8, 2023 at 12:15 #1642682My ew 2…
