Magician was really impressive today. He was excellent at Chester on a longer trip, but he was quite outstanding again today. I’m more convinced by him than Battle Of Marengo who has all to prove yet.
Anyway, what will Magician’s next race be? Epsom Derby next saturday? St James’s during Royal Ascot? Eclipse Stakes in the summer? I’m looking forward seeing him again!

Trading Leather set it up for Magician by setting a suicidal gallop- hardly boosting the form of the Dante there- but the winner has bags of pace and looks as if he’ll stretch to further as well.

Again I would take the totally opposite view. As he clearly wants much further – hence the ‘suicidal’ pace – Trading Leather performed with some credit and actually gave a minor boost to the Dante form. Somewhat more of a boost than Van Der Neer gave to the 2000 Guineas form.

Agreeed here, watch The Dante, staying on late. He’s crying out for a mile and a half. Irish Derby bound?

Last week, I boldly tipped Magician ( then available at 20s, 16,14s ) to lower Dawn Approach’s colours in The Derby. I watched his run at Chester over and over and concluded, rightly or wrongly at the time, that he was quite a serious horse and possessed the requisite class and stamina to run a big race at Epsom.

I am still hoping against hope that the Coolmore team let the horse take his chance.

They must have doubts about Magician staying or don’t want to take on Battle Of Marengo. The latter has certainly been way less impressive visually. Quite how Mars seems to be their number two going into the race is a mystery to me. He has done nothing special in my eyes and finishing behind Van Der Neer looks less promising in the wake of yesterday’s effort by him. I am on Ruler Of The World but with no confidence whatsoever. The silence regarding this horse has been deafening, is he even still alive?

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Smart Performance from Just The Judge today. Big Break ran well on her seasonal debut but I felt the winner was always going better. A slight question when asked to put the race to bed as to whether she might not find much but she is a momentum builder rather than a sharp turn of foot filly and I doubt if Big Break would turn it around given the winner’s physique and ability to travel in a race. On another note, I have no idea why Maureen was as prominent in the betting today.

Big Break couldn’t beat Big Bob. Delighted for Just The Judge’s stable lad. If he talks to me at the races he’ll talk to anyone. Top judge; leading the filly around the paddock just before she made her debut at Newbury turned and said "this’ll win". Listening to what he had to say afterwards convinced me JTJ was a good filly.

Magician was the best horse in the race. Did he really need the ‘encouragement’ Joseph O’Brien gave him?

They must fancy her for the Coronation as well, that race is made for her.

We disagree again. The Coronation is a greater test of speed and given a reasonable size field she might also be faced with a draw problem. Yesterday the race couldn’t have worked out better with the leaders holding on longer than at Newmarket thus allowing her to maintain her gallop to the line. I doubt very much that she quickened and at a mile I think she will always remain vulnerable to a filly with a change of pace.

Do you simply come on here to disagree with me? Getting irritating now.

    disagree. disagree. disagree.

don’t see you disagreeing with anyone else’s opinion?

not that I value the view of someone who can’t tell a class horse when he sees one anyway.

Get back in your pram. Its a forum for opinions.

The Coronation is an easier mile than the Curragh. This may not play to Just the Judges hands. I think this is perhaps a valid point, although I personally won’t back against this filly again against her own sex until she is beaten again.

It’s also a forum for trolls, if your posts are anything to go by. Consistently you stalk me around here and slag my opinions off and belittle me- and expect me not to respond?

Get lost you patronising tool. And don’t comment on my posts again.

I tipped up both winners of the Guineas on here (ok Just the Judge was fav but when I tipped up Magician he was about 6-1)

Not a single person came on here to praise me for that. All I get instead is some tool coming on here and every other post "I disagree again" or some utter prick "Get back in your pram"

Sums this forum up. I quit.

Oh and this will be my final post- when Secret Gesture pisses all over The Lark this friday I’ll be laughing- anyone who thinks that Winsili is in the same league as Secret Gesture is in the wrong game.
