Lake Victoria 2-1
Will strip fitter from Newmarket if she turns up for this.
May 20, 2025 at 14:58 #1730957I will wait to day of market (as said before garbage at AP) Bedtime Story would interest me each way at around the 20s mark.
If it dont come up soft on the dayMay 20, 2025 at 19:45 #1730985just watched the racingtv interview and O’Brien didn’t even mention Bedtime Story just said Lake Victoria will go and she will stay at a mile, Los Angeles for the Tatts, while Officer main hope for 2000
May 24, 2025 at 13:50 #1731152Aidan has just been interviewed on RTV and sounds very bullish about the favourite. Says we’ll see “a completely different filly” tomorrow. I reckon she’ll go off odds-on now.
May 24, 2025 at 18:32 #1731196Having seen Lake Victoria in the flesh at Newmarket last time personally was not impressed with the way she has progressed thus far, she appeared sluggish and dull in her coat. Last year she was a Wow in the paddock but I have a feeling she needs a little longer.
For that reason I’m going to take a chance on …
Swelter – 9/2Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 24, 2025 at 18:48 #1731198I’ll have a go on two of ’em:
SWELTER 5/1 – nice win on reappearance, runner up ran well in French guineas.
CITY OF MEMPHIS 14/1 – big step up in grade and up in distance from 6f, expensive filly, runner up subsequent winner, a bit punty.
May 25, 2025 at 00:22 #1731215Also throwing in along with Swelter 9/2 Paddy Power..
Duty First 33/1 EW.) Paddy Power
Who knows Holly could spring a surprise.
Probably better prices available out there.
Glad was right Lake Victoria now odds on at 10/11..no value there at all.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 25, 2025 at 12:03 #1731231Small bet on Flight to uphold English guineas form
May 25, 2025 at 13:28 #1731241according to RTV strong tail wind at The Curragh
May 25, 2025 at 13:46 #1731243I took a chance on Flight 7/1 I’m hoping they ride her positively
Lake Victoria has the class to win but I have reservations about the trip on this course albeit she won at the Curragh as a two year over 7f so I couldn’t completely rule it out but worth taking on imoGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

May 25, 2025 at 15:45 #1731263As usual with Moore on the O’Brien runners. Has them close to the pace which leaves little room for drama.
May 25, 2025 at 15:46 #1731264Thought she might get locked up on the inside but muscled her way out and then hands and heels stuff to the line – shame they couldn’t get her fit for Newmarket!
Will be interesting where they go with her and whether they will take on Field of Gold at any point.
Edit: Her time was 0.20s faster than Field of Gold ran yesterday.
May 25, 2025 at 15:47 #1731265well done winners, welcome back LV
May 25, 2025 at 15:50 #1731267Incredible turn around..LV looked amazing today..what a turn of foot. Look forward to the Desert Flower rematch.
The markets were right and it’s been an O’Brien benefit day so far. Who can beat them at their local tracks?
Well done Mike
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 25, 2025 at 15:53 #1731269Ta all.
I was expecting that sort of performance tbf, the way AOB was talking about her yesterday i thought the real Lake Victoria would turn up today against these.
