Hydroplane did me a good turn a few weeks ago. I think he probably is better on softer ground but I agree that the 40/1 with 7 places was too generous to ignore.

Really tight hcap , one that does catch my eye is Moore’s Transatlantic , thrown in here on UK debut and also entered for the county , last run was poor but it was a grade 1 , just a 5 years old , the yard don’t tend to fly kites so I’ll have a tickle , at shorter I can see the why the money’s come for lucky one but having missed the price ( long week at work as off next week for Cheltenham ) ill leave , Hystery bere form has a nice look after cormier win at Kelso , another youngster I’ll play him for the win

    Hystery bere win

Mr Grey Sky has drifted like a barge, which isn’t the most convincing sign, however I won’t be sniffing at 22/1 six places. He’ll likely be my only play in this.

Hydroplane is a big price for a winner over course and distance only two months ago. Also think Calico is on a dangerous mark.

    Hydroplane 40/1 EW
    Calico 33/1 EW

WD VtC and delighted for you bayoffreedom, he just cruised into it and I was hopping up and down for a safe jump at the last. Enjoy the win! The plane won’t need fuel to take off on the way home..I think you could probably float it into the air by yourself :yahoo:

Terrific winner Bobby, even better that it drifted out to 20/1 for you :yahoo:

Well I’ll be blowed. I was sure Lucky One finished 4th. I’ve watched the
race a couple of times and it still looks to me he was 4th. Maybe the angle
is deceiving, but I thought he was ahead by about a neck, whereas he was
    apparently a neck behind

Not sure what happened to him going to the 2nd last, he was cantering before
that then seemed to be wary and I thought he would finish out the back the way
he was losing ground, but he ran on well and passed a lot of horses for what I
thought was 4th, but seems he was 5th.

I thought he was fourth as well. I hope they have not used an image from the other winning post again, as happened on this day three years ago in the EBF race!

Great win by Surprise Package. Another Irish trained horse laughs at the handicapper. At least we can draw a line through anything trained this side of the Irish Sea in the handicaps next week! ;-)

Hope not Cork, I would have put money on it that he was 4th.

Looks sure to be a beating by the Irish, their horses seem
    well ahead.

Just watched the replay. It was on my phone so not a big screen but I find it very difficult to believe that Lucky One was as much as a neck behind the fourth horse at the second finishing post, which I am fairly sure was the one in use. He was certainly behind at the first post but not by much.

I am not that bothered for the small amount of money involved but I would have been interested to see the official photo if I had placed a large bet!
