I’d like to own a Derby winner, and run it in the July Cup to see what happens.
Melton and Ormonde would have been the horses for you then.
For me, it’s Overdose.
March 8, 2010 at 22:59 #281269Well, Zenyatta would be an idea, and no-one’s nabbed her yet.. maybe she could have at least one race over here for me??
Then I can also either race or sell for exhorbitant sums, her future offspring – hoping she’d be the next Urban Sea!
I’d really like a jumper, but like AC I’d be hiding behind the stands just hoping it came back safe. If in this fantasy world I could also guarantee its safety then a good two-mile chaser would be ideal. Long Run, Master Minded, or perhaps something promising and good-looking by Presenting.
I’m very fond of a moderate but game and nice natured dual purpose chestnut gelding called Russian Invader. He’d be my pet!
March 8, 2010 at 23:14 #281270Big Bucks. It’s too late this year but i’d move him to another trainer next and aim him at the Gold Cup.
May 30, 2010 at 16:53 #297655I would bring Quixall Crossett out of retirement and back in training; to win one race only and to prove that he was just a very misunderstood horse.
Owd Quixall passed away in October 2006, so you’d need a time machine as well. He’d be 25 if still around today, and by expedient of his website (http://www.quixall-crossett.co.uk/) and frequent mentions in these annals, I suppose he is.
