Faugheen still looks great and ready to race, doesn’t he?

At the Irish National Stud, I believe.

A magnificent place and an excellent tour of the facilities available.

Chezza’s of a nervous disposition and doesn’t want to be shocked – so he’s given it the old body swerve.

You’re not alone – I’m as mystified on this one as you are, Gladders.

Well Faugheen is only 14, he’s still good for some point-to-points

Age is just a number – it’s all about racing miles on the clock.

I remember Sonny Summers and Mac Vidi.

I’m shocked they all look so fit and well. Wondered what had become of Beef or Salmon.

Thanks, Jac. Sadly, you don’t find too many videos like this on YouTube. It’s always about posting the bad things first.
We’re always surprised to read what good lifes a lot of retired horses still live. It’s not shown that much on Social Media because people/connections just care about their horses without having the need to make it public.

TBH, I think non racing fans might be surprised, but I doubt if anyone at TRF is.

Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred magazine has a story about a local retired racehorse every month. They’re great to see, especially the old chasers I remember following when they raced. https://midatlantictb.com/index.php/midatlantic-tb/pensioners-on-parade

Faugheen really was exceptional; his victories in the Irish and Punchestown Champion Hurdles were electric to watch. But for injury, he was nailed on to emulate Dawn Run as a dual CH/GC winner.
Might have given C Hill a race
