Is there a time to catch out Hurricane Fly? Well maybe first time out in the Morgiana Hurdle a week on Sunday (Nov 20th). His victory over Peddlers Cross showed he is not, as yet, one of the all-time greats, yet by many he is already considered home and hosed for the Champion Hurdle.

After a break of three months or more he has scored six times from eight starts. Surely watertight evidence he will be ready to win again later in the month.

However, the goalposts have changed; he is now the reigning champion hurdler and as such that will be his sole aim as far as peaking in the season whereas in previous years that has not been the case.

many people will have been disappointed by the run of Oscars Well last week, but he travelled by far the best of the first three home through the race until lack of a run counted. It will be a different story this time around and at an ante-post price of 6/1 he looks very interesting

The lack of run didn’t count against Oscar Wells,it was the 2 miles. Why he is running over that distance I’m unsure. And he will not beat Hurricane Run over 2 miles.

Black Sam Bellamy – Thx for your reply – I was at the track last week when he ran and he was blowing very hard coming into the unsaddling enclosure……I agree that in time two and a half will suit better in time, but he came there hacking two out.

Anyway let’s see what happens a week on Sunday…………good luck this season.
