If you can see the shoe, it’s easy, but all feet on the ground, it’s hard to tell from the clips.
And stickies tend to look like a normal shoe.
On tartan aluminums are easily discernible.
On dirt I can’t tell but others can and they tell me "c’ mon little one, you ‘re no good for horseshoe spotting".
