    Outlaw Tom goes in the 1.50 at Hexham, a 2m 7f 0-120 Handicap Chase. The soft going and the course will suit. Though the trip is as short as we would want, he has won over three miles at Hexham. Peter Buchanan takes the ride.

    Just in case things go pear shaped tomorrow Tom has an alternative entry at Carlisle on Sunday 15th.

    That was disappointing, even allowing for the fact that the race may still have been needed to bring him on. Outlaw Tom didn’t jump with any fluency and the petrol ran out after less than two miles.
