It was a deliberate exaggeration to match the exaggerated response to the last fashionable food frenzy, namely Jamie Oliver’s school dinners ‘campaign’ or as we should really call it, the ‘Help Prolong Jamie Oliver’s Career’ campaign. I well remember at the time that the phone-in shows and newspapers were wetting themselves over the issue of school dinners, I mentioned to a couple of people I was working with that my daughter quite liked chicken nuggets. From the looks of horror I received and the twenty-minute lecture in two parts, you’d have thought I was Radovan Karadic handing himself into the Hague. But a few weeks later, they were back lunching at McDonalds with their children and had found something else to be fashionably worried about.
My daughter still likes chicken nuggets and I’ve quite taken to them myself since then too.
A tangent, certainly, but without tangents, where would the Lounge section of the forum be.

She always goes for a Happy meal with nuggets
