Hi guys,
The main point of this thread is for me to keep a track of how I’m doing (aside from the plethora of spreadsheets I run) and to try and tip up a few winners for anyone who takes note here.
I bet every day on the jumps, AW, flat and Californian top-class circuits.
The aim of this thread, before closing, would be to try to get up to 100pt profit however long that may take.
Wednesdays Selections
**BET OF THE DAY** LINGFIELD 1:20 – SIR EDWIN LANDSEER
Sir Edwin Landseer may be a tricky customer to win with and is now on his lowest official mark for 4 years. Sir Edwin has remarkably not won since going over to Nad Al Sheba in 2006 a day where he raced off a mark of 95.That aside, Sir Edwin’s last outing is one to note. His 3rd place behind Buy On The Red and Decider over 5f at todays venue saw him running on strongly at the death. Gary Moore ups him to 6f yet again today and the booking of George Baker is an eyecatching one.
The competition looks reasonably weak here with Charlie Delta and Wotashirtfull looking his only reasonable challengers. Charlie Delta, however, is very poorly in here at the weights whereas Sir Edwin Landseer may just have an all important 1lb in the weights with the highly-rated Wotashirtfull. At 9/4, Sir Edwin Landseer is easily the value bet in this race and I expect him to get his head in front.
Other Selections

LINGFIELD 3:05 ShakalakaN.B. I’ll also be reviewing the Kempton card in more detail and will be adding further Kempton selections as the evening card progresses in separate posts.
December 30, 2009 at 08:34 #266399Should take a month, I’d have thought.

Need to do it before the Dubai Carnival starts.
December 30, 2009 at 17:51 #266493Haha if it’s still going during the Dubai Season I think that’ll be a good thing! I did ok there last year.

***BET OF THE DAY*** LINGFIELD 2:00 GHUFA
Ghufa won a trappy contest last time out on a Saturday Wolverhampton card despite stumbling and losing a few lengths from the gate. On that date, Ghufa won by the smallest possible margin over an unsuitable distance when running on very late.Today, Ghufa is stepped back up to 1m4f and is 2 from 2 on the left-handed polytrack over todays distance. Both of these victories came in Class 6 races like today and he can duly deliver at a value 7/4. Fantasy Ride is an interesting each-way alternative at potentially big odds.

CURRENT P/L = +2ptsSaturday Selections
***BET OF THE DAY*** SANDOWN 2:35 FREE WORLD
Free World benefited from a change of tactics last time out when a game second behind steady improver French Opera in a hot Cheltenham handicap. Free World carried top weight that day and does the same again here in what looks to be a similarly hot handicap chase. However, with the Paul Nicholls stable in sublime form, the past form that Free World has shown around this track and with Free World looking to be on the way back to his best form of last year it’ll pay to side with the Clive Smith owned gelding.Other Selections
SANDOWN 1:00 Carole’s Legacy
SANDOWN 2:05 Any Currency
SANDOWN 3:10 William Hogarth
SANDOWN 3:40 Mamlook & Aachen
LINGFIELD 1:35 TaminoJanuary 2, 2010 at 19:20 #267199CURRENT P/L = +4.5pts
Only one bet yesterday thanks to Sandown being abandoned and Tamino was a winning one.
Sunday Selections
***BET OF THE DAY*** KEMPTON 3:35 Tripitaka
Lightly raced Tripitaka bids to become the ‘big stable star’ on the all weather circuit this season and may very well have the right attributes to become just that. Having only had three runs thus far Tripitaka is a two-time course winner with his only defeat coming on a day the horse had a mid-race setback when finishing 30 lengths adrift as the 2/1 favourite.Today, drawn 9, Tripitaka can win yet another contest around the Kempton all-weather track and will be running on late to collar every last one of these.

January 6, 2010 at 00:12 #268113Hi guys.
In a bit of a rush tonight but here are my plays for tomorrow.
I wouldn’t turn anyone off Silver Prelude at Kempton tomorrow and he is my bet of the day. Looks to be well in at the weights with previous rivals here and his only danger is the Irish shipper.
Next best would be Rondeau. Jim Crowley doesn’t go anywhere for one ride 2 hours before he’s supposed to be elsewhere unless he expects to have a big chance.
Selections
LINGFIELD 1:00 Rondeau
LINGFIELD 1:30 Hector Spectre
LINGFIELD 2:00 Hurakan
LINGFIELD 3:00 Durberville
KEMPTON 4:20 SILVER PRELUDE **NAP**
KEMPTON 4:50 Glen Lass
KEMPTON 5:50 Red Somerset
KEMPTON 6:20 Fathsta
