Miss Ascot but will likely run here instead and trainer off the mark in Charlie Hill chase to
November 4, 2025 at 10:54 #1743814I think that Kalif Du Berlais wins this, but for a bit of an interest and an ew 3plcs angle, I’ve taken 12-1 Saint Segal

November 6, 2025 at 10:25 #1743939British racing needs a few star names this season and I’m hoping Kalif Du Berlais can be one of them. He’s the class act in the race and should take all the beating, but he’s not a bet.
I’m a big fan of JPR One and while he might need to improve to win this, he has conditions to suit. He’d be my bet.
November 6, 2025 at 13:15 #1743948I endorse both those views, Peter.
I’ve backed Kalif for the Champion Chase but this is JPR One’s cup final and he has his ground finally.November 6, 2025 at 17:48 #1743956Talking of having his ground, Nicholls will apparently wait until he’s walked the course, and possibly seen how Quebecois gets on in an early race before finally committing KdB to this.
Maybe having fewer potential stars is making him over-protective? Or perhaps nobody believes a clerk of the course can call good ground anymore?
November 6, 2025 at 22:12 #1743965Agree with Oscar , this is JPR one’s big day and has conditions to suit. Took some 4.4 (Betfair Exchange)
November 7, 2025 at 05:13 #1743977Another in JPR one camp
November 7, 2025 at 10:27 #1743983Did JPR One here last year so in for a repeat at 3-1.
The more I know the less I understand.
November 7, 2025 at 14:22 #1743991I’m on JPR One as well.
November 7, 2025 at 14:32 #1743994I think that’s what you call swashbuckling! Fun to watch and well deserved. Well done roses with the canny ew on Saint Segal and VF if you were on ew too.
