Another top drawer entry, but goes without saying that The Galway Hurdle will dictate who actually lines up here…….

Thankfully no Antepost market yet. Probably for the best that, and I hope it stays that way as long as possible.
Doesn’t stop me having an early shortlist though, and……
Sweet Home Chicago
Great White Shark
Recent Revelations
Plinth
Dalton Highway
Nibblers Charm
Tiger Twenty Two…..all catch my eye, but until there’s a market, I don’t have to worry.
Dalton Highway of that lot, is miles ahead of the handicapper, but he looks touch and go to get in.
July 27, 2020 at 12:45 #1495210Bet Great White Shark for The Connacht tonight, and a good run in that wouldn’t put me off here.
If there’s an early market formed though, I think the early one will be Sweet Home Chicago.
July 29, 2020 at 12:04 #1495509Final Decs in, and the worst possible scenario for me, with the top four in the shortlist all making it.
If the opening market is generous, could see a fair bit of backing to lay here, but either way, decent line up, and work to do.
July 30, 2020 at 16:37 #1495758I’m very happy to see that Stratum has opened up at 14-1, I think that’s a nice price, and I’ll start off with that.
July 31, 2020 at 00:07 #1495814Gone with My Sister Sarah here + Russian Diamond….think RD could be very well in, but isn’t typical of the connections…

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 31, 2020 at 02:06 #1495822I had a long look at My Sister Sarah, think she’s a big player Jack.
I’ve changed my mind here a dozen times.
I’ve been touting Recent Revelations for a while, but as he’s unproven over the trip, I’ve reluctantly left him out. Was a tough decision.
That leaves the other trio.
Sweet Home Chicago will be bet, and I fancy I’ll get my cash back in running.
I just can’t leave Great White Shark alone either, and recent rain won’t be an issue.
I’ll be happy if either of them do it, but main hope is Plinth.
He’s got plenty of miles on the clock, but I think he’s as good as ever. He’ll have to be, as he’s cut no ice in this before, but his creditable run in The Grimes Hurdle behind Aramon reads better now, and he ran very well next time at Kilbeggan too, really getting going late on, and I’m hoping that as he gets older, the extended trips are more suitable for him. He’s the choice of Mark Walsh, over the other JP contenders, and he’ll have to scrub him along at some point, as he did with Early Doors, it may just have the desired effect.
Great White Shark
Plinth EW 6 Places
Sweet Home ChicagoJuly 31, 2020 at 11:43 #1495841What a race this is. Jack, I’m following you this time with My Sister Sarah at 8-1, + I’ve also taken Recent Revelations at 12-1.
I really like that Blackmore is booked + they’re my main fancy in this
July 31, 2020 at 13:09 #1495856Yeah Buckers it’s a cracking race! Actually looking forward to watching it more than the Galway Hurdle!
A good bit of support for Plinth Bobby, good luck!
Rain not a major concern for GWS, but I did think she’s better on better going!Hoping Blackmore can get MSS rolling in time as she often seems to be quite far back!
I like diamond hill as well though, with the course form, will stay for sure and the ground won’t be a huge worry. 125 is a very very workable mark

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 31, 2020 at 13:23 #1495859Agree guys, an absolutely cracking race, loads of angles, should be tough going.
Yeah Jack, very encouraging that support, and I managed to get 16’s to those 6 places, and I’ve had a go.
Still not bet the other pair yet, but the way the markets going, I’ll have to get my fingers out for Shark. At least Chicago is drifting, so no rush there. I might just bet him at bigger odds on the exchanges before the off, the way it’s going.
July 31, 2020 at 15:19 #1495878I can totally understand the appeal of My Sister Sarah, and I’m with her and Sayo here, both on the nose.
July 31, 2020 at 18:05 #1495899Late change of heart for me, and I’ve taken the 16’s for Recent Revelations, it’s just too big in relation to how good I think he could be.
I’ll have to possibly deal with Chicago in running, but he did get a fair hike for last run I suppose.
Great White Shark 8’s
Plinth 16’s EW 6 Places
Recent Revelations 16’sJuly 31, 2020 at 18:24 #1495902Wd bob, My Sister Sarah was a great pick too, they were both well clear of the rest
July 31, 2020 at 18:32 #1495905Cheers Ista, I’d have preferred Plinth, and kicking myself for missing the 10’s, but not complaining.
She’s a smashing horse, very underrated.
August 1, 2020 at 10:38 #1496015Well done Bobby! Deserted her and paid the price, 3 seconds in total yesterday, one of those days! She looked a lot more straightforward yesterday I thought as well!

Yeah, pretty straightforward for her, and I’m hopeful of a few more pots for her.
August 1, 2020 at 13:44 #1496051Well done Venture, she had my selection held well enough at the end.
