March 20, 2024 at 12:49 #1687524My first stab in this is Latenightpass- so much to like about the horse and although maybe not the profile to be winning this these days I would fancy it strongly to hit the frame 33s EW
With or without my money on I would like to see this horse winning the race for connections. I understand it will revert back officially to its points trainer from skelton
March 20, 2024 at 14:47 #1687531I’ve taken the 33-1 on Delta Work, with my additional bet being Kitty’s Light at 16-1. I could have taken larger with Kitty’s Light, but I wanted the safety net of nrnb
March 20, 2024 at 20:35 #1687578That’s good news VF. I liked Fiddler when he was with the Tizzards and I don’t normally mind when horses continue to race if they enjoy it and are healthy… But none of those two things seemed to be true with Fiddler. Anyway, I applaud the owner’s decision to retire.
Value Is EverythingMarch 20, 2024 at 20:38 #1687579I am going through each horse’s form with a fine tooth comb.
Anyone who is thinking of backing I Am Maximus should have a look at replays of his races.
Never fallen or unseated, but he’s one of the worst jumpers you’ll ever see in the Grand National.
Value Is EverythingMarch 20, 2024 at 21:52 #1687584Yes agree with I am Maximus jumping often out to the left. And in last race he won it really put me off thinking of him as a national horse

March 23, 2024 at 18:34 #1688143Just Farouk D’Alene and Run Wild Fred left in both the Irish and Aintree Nationals. Can’t rule out connections running a pair of no hopers in both races either.
Tuesday’s confirmations will help clear the waters.
March 23, 2024 at 18:39 #1688144Last time I looked both of those had the dreaded Timeform “X” Peter, so hope they don’t go to Aintree.
Value Is EverythingMarch 24, 2024 at 10:09 #1688175If they could get Fred back to any sort of form he wouldn’t be a complete no hoper at Fairyhouse where he was 2nd a few years back off a similar mark, his UK mark looks very harsh for Aintree. He’s shown very little this season having missed all of the 2nd half of last season, presumably had some issues. Remarkably he took in both Nationals in 2022 when they were only 9 days apart and he went off single figures for both races, failed to complete either of them.
March 24, 2024 at 19:50 #1688208Racing Post are reporting that Threeunderthroughfive is skipping Aintree in favour of Sandown for the old Whitbread.
March 24, 2024 at 22:02 #1688211The racing post had JJ Slevin down as riding at Newbury and Navan simultaneously on Saturday afternoon so I would add a note of caution to their reporting /coverage.
March 25, 2024 at 00:18 #1688220Oh shhhhhhhhhhhhhhugar.
One of mine gone.tbh I can see why they have made that decision with Threeunderthrufive. He seems either at his very best best on right-handed tracks and / or more consistent going that way around.
Value Is EverythingMarch 25, 2024 at 00:24 #1688221“How had Delta work dropped 1 never ran”
—————————————-Actually… they haven’t.
Just seen Delta remains 182.
One pound below Corach Rambler. However, personally I’d have a “?” on that rating as it’s over a year since he ran to it.
Delta Work is now 11 years old. Is he on the downgrade now?
Or had Mr Elliott been playing silly buggers before a crack at the abandoned X-Country?
Cheltenham race being abandoned might help Delta Work, as I think he was below form when placed at Aintree two seasons back, after a hard race at Cheltenham. Comes here fresh this year.Value Is EverythingMarch 25, 2024 at 00:31 #1688222If you don’t believe the Racing Post, Kendicate… You can have some of my 260 on the machine.

Maybe I should do a Mike and say “cashed out”.
