I should leave this well alone, as having Savello in a Trifecta a few years back is the closest I’ve came to a winner.

With that abysmal record in mind, absolutely no justification for having an Antepost, but anyway…..

The horse I liked for this over the last couple of months is Ex Patriot, but after his win today, and the fact that his price is more or less holding, would suggest he’s not going. I’ve also been very keen on Brelan D’As, but he looks touch and go to get in.

The one I do really like though is Champagne At Tara. He had a really good time of it last year, and not knocked about since. He looked better than the result at Ascot, and 33’s just too big.

I nearly went with a pair of them here, with Diakali extremely interesting, he’s another at 33’s, while it would be no surprise whatsoever, to see Le Prezien bounce back as well. Thrown in old favourites like Theinval, the ever underrated Gino Trial, and Foxtail Hill, and it just makes sense to go with one right now.

    Shortlist
    Diakali 33’s
    Le Prezien 14’s
    Gino Trail 33’s

Only one for now though, and after saying earlier that I had bet my final AP of the week, this will definitely be my last Antepost……I think.

The comments from connections about Magic Saint makes me fancy him.

11/2 is just about good enough.

Yeah, they seem to like him a lot MOM, but just a bit short for me………….not that I can’t see him winning, did it very well last time. Good luck with him.

I try to avoid the short ones in the handicaps. Give me a copper being one I want to take on.

But I think this lad may be a bit special for a handicap and, other than Dallas Des Pictons for the Martin Pipe, would be my festival bet for the week.

Good luck with yours VTC. You do so many great on here, you deserve all your winners on these threads.

Not Another Muddle is a right bet if he gets in, but sadly it looks like he might struggle.
On at 20s NRNB, will be going in again if he sneaks in. Probably treble down if i’ve had a decent week.

Any views on Tree of Liberty for this? I think it’s a race Kerry Lee targets and he has a lovely profile for the race being a good age, relatively unexposed and a pure two-miler.

Mind’s Eye for me- stable in decent form and I’ve always liked him.

Brilliant training performance to produce a horse off one run in the last two years to do it from the front.

Again we see a horse this week getting into a wonderful jumping rhythm from the front and see off all challengers. Great stuff.
