The idea expressed by some people that it will only damage Elliott and not racing is ridiculous.
I think Elliott will have to have his licence suspended. Even his explanation about having to sit down to take the phone call is not going to impress many people. Why would you sit on a dead horse?
It’s also a 1-100 shot that no one on RUK, ITV or Racing TV will start criticising him. That’s why he won’t face any kind of punishment.
If horses were to be switched to other trainers, it would be unfair to them, their owners and the staff at Gordon Elliotts’ stable.
I really wouldn’t punish him at all, since he has punished himself and the game to the limit. But, it is time to ask why so many horses suffer heart attacks while on the gallops. Haven’t heard that so often from PFN or Hendo.

They are both cheats Ruby. Just one is the bad guy and one was the guy who kept getting away with it.
Why would it be on every news site and paper, what is he going to be fined for and why would people pull there horses?
Its just an image issue for him, there is no welfare issue at hand, unless he caused the horses death, which he obviously did not, youd have to be fairly soft to pull your horses from him for this lol
This, again will not be the end of horse racing, nor will it be the end of elliot.
Its really not a big deal unless he was being cruel to the animal whilst it was alive, thats the reality of it. Its dead. Clearly.
