Very confused to the fact if it is fake there’s no hint of denial, just he will assist with the investigation.
No matter if he has been advised in his response last night, he will know obviously know if guilty. Therefore could come out categorically and say as such and back it up later, not tow a line which is adding fuel to his own fire.
February 28, 2021 at 21:28 #1525947Probably Gordon was just suffering from depression that day.
Well it’s 6/4

I doubt he will be allowed to say anything until the official investigation has finished
February 28, 2021 at 21:41 #1525952Not only has a lot of this thread become flippant, but it’s starting to bare resemblance to social media with the anti-Elliott jibes.
Nothing has been proven yet. Nothing can be presumed by what he ‘should’ or ‘should not’ have said. The best thing to do for the good of the sport right now is to spare our judgement until further details emerge.
February 28, 2021 at 21:43 #1525953But, FF, how can there be an investigation by the Irish Racing authorities? What form would it take? If some unknown kid in an attic has photoshopped the pic, what will they do, ask for the full resources of Interpol? Even if it was Elliott’s next door neighbour, what are the Irish authorities going to charge him with?
If, on the other hand, it’s a genuine pic, what is there to investigate?
February 28, 2021 at 21:47 #1525955Tom, the best thing for the sport just now, and arguably yesterday or first thing this morning, is/was to get Elliott to say if the picture is genuine. It’s the inevitable deep interest and suspense that’s bringing so many eyes to the case now.
February 28, 2021 at 21:57 #1525958My last post may have come across as flippant and I really didn’t mean it that way. The whole thing has become a bit of a feeding frenzy (mostly elsewhere) and I regret putting my tuppenceworth in now. You know what they say opinions are like…

Oh well. Tomorrow is another day. I’ll shut up now, and just see what happens.

I did read elsewhere that this isn’t the only thing he’s in trouble with at the moment – don’t know what, or even if it’s true.
February 28, 2021 at 22:30 #1525966He should put a saddle on them really
February 28, 2021 at 22:34 #1525967It’s all sorted now.
February 28, 2021 at 22:35 #1525968I suspect plenty of owners will pull their horses due to the bad publicity

February 28, 2021 at 22:46 #1525972So hes confirmed its real. If anything this sorry mess has taught us that theres alot of people who have no future in photoshop investigation.
February 28, 2021 at 22:49 #1525973Getting a strong Dominic Cummings vibe from that statement.

February 28, 2021 at 22:51 #1525975The best part was the one about the elbow…. and the knee-cap of course.
Anyway, the next thing you do when a phone call comes in, is to sit down. Good to have a deceased horse around you, cause that can really carry your weight…. and Gordons’ as well
