KF: Horatio Hornblower does have an entry in the Champion Bumper, 25s the best price!
Not sure how good the form of the Sandown Bumper is though BUT may be worth a few EW shekels just in case
March 3, 2012 at 10:56 #394647GDC, you certainly brought that
Horatio Hornblower
to my attention and I was fair blown over by that eye catching performance at Newbury,so much so I have backed it for the Champion Bumper,we said at the time there was masses of improvement to come,we’ll see!

There’s no better judges than some on here Rich!
I noticed Ladbrokes have just cutHoratio Hornblower
from 25/1 to 16/1………and here’s me thinkin it was us that caused it!
March 3, 2012 at 14:55 #394679The Grimthorpe will tell us just where we are with
Junior
today,he is being trained with one race in mind and its common knowledge just what it is,he’s fit enough and good enough to win today,I think he’s the best horse in the race, whats in his favour today is the ground he’ll bounce off it and its that, that will help him jump as this is what will beat him,if he doesn’t get into a rhythm early he wont at Aintree so its curtains for him.Exciting but its a big test today and he needs to pass with flying colours.I wont say he’s a good thing because I know he can uproot one but at 4/1………..Tooooooooooo big!

Got to agree, Kingfisher, Morning Line said Pipe had been considering The Gold Cup for him, considering that and that he was 6-1 with Hills at the time, I had to have a bit of the 6/1 EW.
March 3, 2012 at 15:55 #394688Being the Realist CS,
Juniors
jumping cost him dearly today,if he jumps like that at Aintree he wont get past the first fence………..He wont get past the first fence then!

They are off their heads if they send him to Aintree. That’s no place for him
Poor showing by CH4, advert break while I was counting my winnings on Junior, no photo, I could have sworn he’d got up but realistically, he’d probably have been second if the leader had jumped the last anyway.March 3, 2012 at 16:25 #394693I’m totally convinced he’d have caught the faller and won, what he lacks in jumping ability he makes up for in Guts,he has them in abundance. What I will say is this..If by a miracle he jumps the last in the Grand National 5 lengths behind the leader,he wins! Take the chance he jumps at 14/1……….I’ll bet in running as I’ll know after 3 fences!
March 3, 2012 at 18:44 #394717Gord if JUNIOR is 5 lengths behind after the last you might hear a mad man like me screaming from my London home

March 4, 2012 at 15:53 #394819Junior
knew he had a race yesterday but physically he has come on a ton since Newbury,he’ll come on again and if its a sunny day for the Grand National he’ll win something, maybe not the race itself but best turned out for sure, these chestnuts, particularly big bu**ers like him when they are tuned to the minute show an awesome amount of muscle definition and this fellow has plenty!
Calgary Bay
will also look a million his stable lass has only been looking after him for 6 months but she has transformed him, both wont be seen till the day itself and I’m excited already!
March 4, 2012 at 15:53 #394820Bad News about
Deacon Blues
missing the whole season,he was developing into a consistent Group 1 type of horse,I liked him a lot, travels lovely and quickens well,Hayleys loss too as a 3rd Group 1 win was on the cards with this fellow!
March 5, 2012 at 23:37 #394965I used to like ‘Musical Chairs’ as a kid but this is becoming a load of boll*cks. In all my years I have never seen anything like the last minute change of minds trainers are having surrounding their horses targets,’Boston b*stard bob’ going for the same race as my Friday banker
Sea of Thunder
,he’s the one horse i didn’t want to run, hope is good ground will catch him out!
What nextSynchronised

March 7, 2012 at 09:44 #395120Its hard work following the worlds greatest band around the Country but I got to see them again in the countrys best rock venue for the 10th time last night. ‘Rock City’ and me go back a long way,31yrs to be precise and in those years I have stood centre of the balcony on most ocassions,I’ve ‘Moshed’ when the feeling takes me in front of ‘Jean Jacque burnel’worlds greatest Bass player.Last night however the balcony was closed off to all but half a dozen Hells Angels, the rest of us were packed in like sardines,**** that for a game of marbles,I was over the rails and on the balcony in the blink of an eye,I was either staying put, thrown out by the bouncers,or even worse thrown over the balcony by the bikers, being a gambling man I made myself odds on to get moved but hey TAPK never touchs Odds on chances, anyway my gamble paid off and when the Angels from Hell had seen enough and gone I was stood centre of Balcony alone, isolated in a sea of bodies rockin below me to
The Stranglers
givin it plenty,it felt like I was having a private Gig at times as when the spotlights catch you,no one else in the crowd is visible! Then they played ‘Relentless’………A modern Classic….and when the line…’the King sat upon his throne, waved his hands at the Sea,’ came out I just stood there like a Messiah arms aloft totally absorbed in the music,my minions below me looking up at what must have looked like a vision from ‘Spartacus’ when JJ gave me an accepting nod of the head,Oh yes it was a TAPK moment of a lifetime! Sheffield and Lincoln still to come, cant wait!
