I’ll just leave this here Hughsie .. The one time he went up against a proper 3 miler …. You only need to watch to half way if you want to see warrior though …

Ah national hunt season at last , only around 22 weeks to Cheltenham but plenty time to laugh at Garlic

Myself and HDLG both agree Gaelic Warrior at 33/1 is worth a tenner

    16’s top price now
Would you suggest I cash out now or wait until he bolts up in the King George and goes favourite for this

I’d cash out , as for the KG it’s taylor made for Fact to File , I don’t see how Gaelic would beat him , surely it’ll be another spring campaign for Gaelic , Aintree and Punchestown again … that would be his level

“as for the KG it’s taylor made for Fact to File , I don’t see how Gaelic would beat him”

Fact To File still has to prove his stamina over 3 miles and above off a decent gallop. They thought he was quick enough for 2 miles at Punchestown (though that never worked out). They wont hang about in the King George with the ex French horse in there. Plus no guarantee Fact To File will even turn up for the King George, he could stay in Ireland for the Savills. The King George looks the right sort of test for Gaelic Warrior, he will likely enjoy chasing a strong pace like he did at Aintree on the provisio he gets up on the right side of the bed that morning ;o)

FTF will stay 3 around Kempton , the French horse didn’t get up the hill in the Ryanair , was destroyed by FTF , Banbridge didn’t get home in the the GC , they fought out the finish last year in the KG , FTF if he turns up fit will jump them silly , he’s a cracking price just now

“the French horse didn’t get up the hill in the Ryanair , was destroyed by FTF”

The Cheltenham track didn’t suit IEF it was clear he didn’t run like he did at Kempton.

IEF trainer Ryanair post race comments…

“He was nice and relaxed and then turning down the back he’s wanted to let him bowl and do his thing and he probably is better right-handed as he was always going a little bit right, even though he was putting in those big leaps.

“When the winner has come past him, James said he had nothing to give. The winner is obviously very good, but I’d say it’s probably not our optimum track.”

” Nothing to Give ” Ie didn’t get up the hill , no doubt the KG will be his target but if they don’t have a go at 2 miles I reckon there missing a trick

Compared to the old days, I rarely bet antepost. But Jango Baie (just raised to 165 rating) is twice the price he should be for this at 20/1.

Iroko and Panic Attack the early bets here, with Three Card Brag added

Huge question marks over whether any of these will even get an entry

    Iroko 260’s
    Panic Atrack 460’s
    Three Card Brag 470’s

The Jukebox Man & Jango Baie for me so far.

    Both 8/1

I think both will improve again from now to March. Jango is only 6 going on 7 and bred for 3 miles. TJM’s jumping and cruising speed are world class. If the ground is decent, he’ll go very close.
He would’ve won the 3m novice hurdle there a couple of years ago but for the appalling ground conditions.

I had Iknowthewayurthinkin at a big price last year and still think he’s the one to beat this year but would want bigger than 4s. Cromwell would need to start finding some form soon also.

I’d fancy Galopin if he went straight there after Christmas. If he runs in the Hennessy, his 10yo legs won’t have time to recover for the big one. I feel they left their 3rd Gold Cup at Leopardstown last February.
