Just something punters have to take. It happens every year to varying degrees.
I couldn’t have had him placed. At least they have got one Gold Cup and he will be able to hang on to his reputation a bit longer. A heavy defeat in the Gold Cup would almost certainly have prompted a massive rethink as to his actual level of ability.
