23 each way @ 11/4 (C) ZacintoCould not resist in the end with Zacinto out to 11/4, if he is second would result in a 7.19 point loss.
If they don’t go a pace Delegator should win. Just a little concerned with the change of stable. Sometimes horses don’t stay as far when Bin Surror takes them over.
Zacinto could yet prove as good as Delegator in time. Improved all starts (3) so far. Has the build to go on to better things too.

34 @ 11/4 (Sky bog) Walk On WaterIt is difficult to see anything other than the top three in the market having potential to win this. Connipton is interesting, usually only a few of Meehan’s top two year olds are ready to win first time out. Could improve a good deal from Newbury, but prices already allow for that. It’s possible she will need further than this six furlongs anyway.
Shamandar shows so much speed. The form horse, but looked to be getting to the end of her stamina last time.
Walk On Water has won her two starts in the manner of a classy sprinting filly. Having plenty in hand last time at Chester, and can improve again. Hopefully they won’t have too much more rain.
Can’t see She’s Our Character having the speed for this, not good enough in the Champagne over 7f.
Best of the others are Queen’s Grace and Sweet Sonnet, both from in form stables. I make them marginal value, and may back both / either on-course. Former won a Newbury maiden at 50/1, improving a gret deal on her debut. From the family of Sakhee’s Secret. If there is a shock could be her.
Sweet Sonnet last ran when down the field at Royal Ascot. Stable in poor form at the time and could yet improve (needs to).Value Is EverythingSeptember 3, 2009 at 14:52 #2468905:35 Salisbury
23 @ 4/1 (SJ bog) Tactic
17 @ 6/4 (B365 bog) Covert AmbitionI myself have had two saving bets on the horses concerned and will be deciding which to make the main bet on-course. Depending on whether Tactic is sweating up (and prices). But have had to decide here and now for thread’s sake.

32 @ 5/2 (b365 bog) Triple AspectTriple Aspect looks to be improving and is from a stable bang in form. With his owner’s son around, the 5/2 is unlikely to last long.

14 @ 8/1 (FD bog) General Elliot
20 @ 5/1 (betfair) PeligrossoGlass Harmonium is coming down in class and trip, but if they don’t go a strong pace may struggle to land the odds. General Elliot ran poorly last time but that was three months ago. He has a very good record fresh and could have more speed in a slowly run contest (if he’s o.k.). At 8/1 it’s worth the risk.
Peligrosso comes from the in form Godolphin yard. As General Elliot has had time off, but yard do well with older horses first time up after a break. Lightly raced and still potential to improve. Going is a slight worry (Group 3 winner on heavy). A drift in the market another worry, hence the smaller stake. But British punters may find his German form hard to assess and could go off a better price than his form merits. Capable of front running in what could prove a muddling race.Value Is Everything - AuthorPosts
