I’ve got some pretty serious previous for betting horses on BF for The National, that don’t show up, or don’t even get entered, but really hope they make it the plan.

I’m surprised bookmakers aren’t quoting Bradley at the moment VTC. In my opinion should be one of the favourites. However, one reason bookmakers don’t quote a horse is if connections say it won’t/probably won’t run. So I’d be wary of backing Bradley just yet.

Bradley does need to go up around 7 lbs to be reasonably sure of getting in to the race, but after Saturday, that shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Long Run was a bit of a disappointment, but two out of three isn’t bad. Only one horse selected in each race too.

Encouraging three bookies have priced Bradley up VTC. However, to get involved at this early stage I’d like most bookmakers to be pricing him up – unless Bradley’s connections have said it’s an intended target. Trouble is, all the National’s bad publicity has made some trainers/owners believe the fatality rate is more than what it actually is. Will Fergal O’Brien want to run his stable star in it?

Are you a member of the Racing Post website VTC? Is there anything about targets in Bradley’s "Quotes" (in the form section)? I’d also like to take the 12/1 for the Welsh National, but I saw a quote from Fergal on his website saying Bradley is an intended runner but unlikely to start if it comes up very testing; which is always possible at Chepstow.

Bradley has been put up 5 lbs to 138 for his good second to Monbeg Dude, that’s less than I expected. It’s also a mark that would’ve given him 10 stone 1 lb in last year’s race. Not absolutely certain to get a run. However, there may be a reluctance to run the top horses again, after the sad death of Synchronised. So Bradley should get in, even in the unlikely event of not improving any further.

I’ll be keeping a regular eye on the Weather for Chepstow and the 12/1 (and 33/1 or 59/1 betfair Aintree) – and back him if the price/s begins to shorten.

Sorry Ginge, not a member, so not sure.

Yeah, looking at the Welsh myself, but with the likely testing going, It’d be no more than a tenner each way, I’ll make my mind up later in the week. I think though, it’s safe to say he’d be a helluva lot shorter if he turns up. Still pretty satisfied there’s more to come from him.

    EDIT
Actually, scrub the FL bet above. As I thought "XXX you lot, and took all that 26/1 available". Hurry up, otherwise I’ll take the 25/1 too.

Instead I’ll put this bet up:
