After a great Friday not much went right Saturday. Burton Port should’ve won with a better ride from the champ. Poor judgement of pace for once.

Then, two out in the hurdle race it looked between the three horses I’d backed. One fell, bringing down another and then my third choice stumbled badly at the last, losing momentum and just failed to get back up.

Thought I was well and truly sunk when it looked as if Shangani was going to be carried off the track on run-in. Only for a late manoevere to save the day.
