The G1 Grand Prix de Saint Cloud is next Sunday.

Getaway’s connections said after Epsom that his next run would be in either this race or the King George and that he would not run in both.

Does anyone know what the current plans are? Was really hoping to see him at Ascot.

According to RP Getaway is in the Grand Prix de St. Cloud – where German horses have a quite good record in contrast to the great Ascot-race.

Yes, parlo, and Getaway has won on this track in the past.

It looks like Soldier of Fortune will be there too, but this time Getaway will have his own pacemaker. Should be a fascinating rematch.

Getaway didn’t run as bad at Epsom as his result shows, but this race showed that SoF has a clear advantage over Getaway on his finishing speed. Let’s hope that the pacemaker for Getaway will help a bit. Otherweise we might see next year’s Ascot Gold Cup winner.

Getaway and Saddex shall run in the GP de St. Cloud:

Would hope Getaway runs a much improved race as I would love to see him at full stretch in the Arc. His Coronation Cup performance has soured the hype unfortunately.
