Always competitive this, and hoping for an early market, which to be fair, you don’t always get……

I’d imagine that Portmore Lough will be popular here, as he lives the track, and given his last few runs, he doesn’t look harshly treated at all, especially off the back of his run in The Troytown. He’s also one of JP’s, and this is definitely a race he likes to win.

His Riviera Sun is another one who’s bang there off the back of his run at Tipperary last week, and crucially, he’s unchanged for that.

Chasing him home that day was Reach Up. He’s from a yard who I’ve followed closely the last three years, and they’re very good at targeting them for the bigger pots. I’ve never really taken to Reach Up though, and he never grabbed like the old stable stalwarts. The last run however was excellent, and he’s up only a pound for that, so very much worth considering, and he might just be a price.

I could see myself considering that trio very seriously.

Others of note include Mr Diablo and Mindsmadeup.

    Reach Up

Final Decs in, and unfortunately, four of my five mentioned are still in there, so it’s not really cleared anything up.

I’ll definitely be watching the opening prices here.

Robbie Power is an eyecatching booking for Mindsmadeup, I would be swaying towards him at the moment, but a lot of how I approach this will depend on the opening shows.

It was tough for me to leave him out Spoon, but I can’t bet em all.

I still like Mr Diablo as well, surprised he’s the rank outsider.

In the end though, stuck with Portmore and Reach Up.

Already bet Portmore, but waiting for best terms on Reach Up.

Venture I agree about Mr Diablo + I’ve bet him 33-1 ew, along with a win bet on Bay Hill at 18-1. Bay Hill would be my biggest fancy in this, but it’s a string looking race, so it’s hard to be too confident.

I’m double handed in this as well. I’ve went with Mighty Stoaway at 10-1, but the main bet is Tesseract 16-1 ew 4 pls, I think that he’s got a serious chance here.

Another one Silver Spoon, well done.

Thank you venture, it’s been a very lucky week this year for me + I thought Nr Diablo had it in the bag, but a fine ride from Robbie Power made the difference
