Thanks Nathan I didn’t get to see the race but so pleased that he won it and I’ll amend that distance to 7f thank you for pointing it out, I copied and pasted from his last race and forgot to amend the distance
So now every Frankel colt and filly that has run in the UK has won, and unbelievable that only 5 have come out so far. Hoping to see Senator at Newmarket on Friday and will definitely get some photos of him if he runs. Hope you had a little flutter although he went off a bit skinny but a winners a winner.. Jac

    I didn’t have a bet but it’s still a thrill just watching.
I have just had to edit my post as I put ‘drop in trip’ instead of drop in class.
Have a great week, so many good horses at Newmarket, you’ll need a decent charge up on your camera.

I’ll have to catch the race later Nathan my computer’s running at snails pace at present and everytime I edit or change page it takes 5 minutes to load or worse still I get a Waitrose advert (why  ).
Really looking forward to Newmarket on Thu, Fri and Saturday and wish you luck with your AP bets, it looks like the ground is drying out. I’ll start charging up the old trusty camera now and hope the rain keeps away…Jac :rose:

WOW Frankel 6/6 and the first two in this race look pretty useful NTO. :good:

This is the first runner for Juddmonte and the one who looks very much the spitting image of his dad, very impressive in running, his action and attitude also appeared good throughout the race.

    Newmarket 4.00
    Gp 2 Cl3 7f G/Firm

CUNCO – 4/1 (Paddy Power) Best price guaranteed
    £10 WIN

Cunco out for the third time this year in his first Group race where he will meet some of the best 2yo’s to turn out this year but he needn’t worry because none of them are going to get near him. Hopefully he will be calmer going to post tomorrow and keep his cool, with all these things in his favour he will be hard to beat. :good:

You’ve been spoilt. Hope you get some good shots of the horses and Cunco looks a good price at 4/1

Really enjoying Newmarket this week Nathan although just a couple of winners so far Lumiere (Thursday) and Swift Approval in the last last night. Today is my best day and all my choices are in my compy picks (so you’ll know if I have a good day or not).
Can’t wait to see Cunco, think he has a great chance to win this.
I’ll get some good shots there if I can.
COME ON CUNCO :yahoo: See you later…Jac

hi trip i know this about frankel 2yos but any views on Dabyah in maiden what your views on her

Hi Darren…I’ve posted up a picture of Dabyah on your 2yo Thread along with Amablis…both fillies looked amazing in the pre-parade with Dabyah looking more forward and mature of the two and she stood out amongst the other fillies on the day.
Both fillies ran a terrific race but Dabyah was always holding the fast finishing Amabilis I think Frankie knew just how much she had in the tank.
I see your keen to take the 33/1 on Dabyah for the Guineas but neither her or Amabilis hold official entries as yet. Dubyah is certainly a filly who will win again as is Amabilis. Good luck Darren :good: Jac

Here is the result with CUNCO rallying at the finish to come home 4TH

    SUPERLATIVE STAKES
    Newmarket Saturday 9th July
    7f, Class 1 Good/Firm

    1 Boynton 7/1
    2 War Decree EvensF
    3 Mr Scaramanga 16/1
    4 CUNCO 7/2
(Pressed leaders, ridden and every chance over 2f out, outpaced under pressure and
beaten over 1f out, well held 4th and kept on same pace inside final furlong)

    NR: South Seas (IRE)

    9 ran
    Distances: ¾l, 5l, ¾l
    TIME 1m 24.86s (slow by 1.86s)

    Jockey: Adam Kirby
    Trainer: Charlie Appleby

Cunco never looked happy on Saturday either being ponied to post (which you could almost feel his frustration as he struggled to get his head in front of the pony) and running in the race where he veered off to the left, looking at the crowd, losing his position and then rallied to come home 4th. All was not right with him at Newmarket, if only Sir Henry Cecil had still been alive to give constructive advice about his favourite son’s unruly child.

    Wednesday 13th July

    £10 WIN
QUEEN KINDLY – 1/6 (best price guaranteed..)
(Frankel – Lady of the Desert (Rahy)

Turns out for the Fillies Novices
    2.05 Catterick
    Cl.5 5f G/Firm

Couldn’t understand why Queen Kindly was running in a Cl.5 Race at Catterick after running so well in a Group 3 last time out, but then remembered seeing at Newmarket the Plus 10 promotion for 2 and 3 years olds and this is a PLUS 10 Race which means that the winner will receive an extra £10,000 on top of the prize money of around £3,000.

Plus 10 is an industry-funded bonus scheme for British and Irish Flat thoroughbred owners and breeders which pays £10,000 (€12,500) bonuses to qualified two and three-year-old winners of Plus 10 races.
A fee has to be paid and your horses have to be entered to qualify to run in these races.

Expect her to win by at least 8 lengths.

For those of us on at 5/1 for Frankel to be first season leading sire I’m quite happy she is taking this race in.
Do we know what the current table is regarding this….?

Nathan, info is on Racing post website, via Bloodstock section

    http://bloodstock.racingpost.com/statistic/leading_lists.sd#leadingListsTabs=top_first_season_sires

Mayson, Sir Prancelot, Elzaam and Helmet lead the way with 9 winners, Bated Breath and Power on 7 then Frankel with 6 tho obvioualy with significantly less runners.

I would say those on the 5/1 will be sitting very happy as August onwards, you are going to be expecting a lot more of the baby Frankels to start getting their first runs in.
