I’d be confident Casamento will reverse form with Pathfork should they meet again.

Maybe your right, I just get the impression Pathfork will beat anything that comes to him, may never be visually as impressive as Frankel but for me he is just as good, two completely different styles mind you

I can’t stopp lumping…
Might be something to do with your diet; more fibre should see you right
Frankel was wildly impressive yesterday, but it wasn’t a strong race by any stretch of the imagination and there has to be a doubt that he’ll train on. Rainbow View was similarly dominant as a juvenile and ultimately proved disappointing; it would be a shame to see this chap go the same way.
Whatever he does over the winter though, I don’t think he’ll stay twelve furlongs. He’s just too quick. I’d be satisfied if I had backed him for the Guineas prior to yesterday’s performance, but he’s no better than a fair price now.

Your trousers will take the strain Mr W,Better 2yo than Dancing Brave,we"ll see next year if he can win the Guineas,Derby,Eclipse,King George and Arc,if so he"s a better horse than Dancing Brave! I know he"s not though!
September 26, 2010 at 21:07 #319583Here’s a challenge for you, name me the best horse Workfarce has actually beaten.
Fame an Glory
and
Youmzain
!! 2 proper Group 1 horses!
Oh I see, as well as a King you can see into the future as well. We’ll see.
Euro said that "class got him through" in the Arc. This is what I struggle to comprehend!
Why? The horse had been on the go since May and it is impossible for even the best of trainers to have an animal in his care at his peak for every race in six straight months. Sea the Stars was a 140 beast at his best but ran nowhere near that in the Arc.
September 26, 2010 at 21:26 #319593Oh I see, as well as a King you can see into the future as well. We’ll see.
"The Ante-Post King",the name signifys betting in future races and i am the King of doing just that Euro! Its all about Foresight when you bet Ante-Post and its not for those of a weak disposition!
September 27, 2010 at 00:07 #319612I thought Frankel was exceptional and I already rate him as one of the best 2YOs I’ve ever seen.
OK, the opposition he beat weren’t great … but they’re still no slouches by any means. Klammer has finished behind King Torus and Strong Suit in previous races and Pleasure Beach got beat by Pirateer who has since won again.
I’m excited about Frankel more than I was about Canford Cliffs and Celtic Swing and I expect him to improve at three.
September 27, 2010 at 00:09 #319613RPR changed to 123 already. Just seen Casamento – hardly a blistering performance.
September 27, 2010 at 00:47 #319615The best 2yo performance of recent times had to be SNA in the RP Trophy 2009(Group I ).How quickly we forget. He spreadeagled a high class field.Of course many did not train on, a point to remember when rating Frankel.Incidentally when I reviewed Poets Voice against the best it is hard to accept he is as good as he looked last Saturday. Has RVW been reduced to this?

Poets Voice is a high class horse who’s taken a while to come to himself this year. There is probably more to come now he’s got the winning habit and no surprise to see him beat a sub-par Rip Van Winkle on Saturday. Yes, RVW may not be quite the force he was last year: but maybe also the 3yo milers aren’t such a bad lot after all.

Henry says he prefers to go for the Dewhurst a race he’s only won once. In the past he’s targetted the Racing Post with his better horses but it can be quite a gruelling race if the ground is on the soft side.
Being over 7f the Dewhurst should be perfect for Frankel and although Frankie said a while back Saamaid would run next in the Dewhurst he is still not entered so there’s no guarantee the match will take place.
I would imagine this news will be music to Ed Dunlop’s ears as he can now re-route the highly regarded Native Khan. Wouldn’t be the brightest move to run in Dewhurst now as he can go to Doncaster avoiding the pair of them. Plus he stil has the option go to France for Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere I believe.
I actually think Frankel V Saamidd at Newmarket over 7f would be the less taxing than Frankel V Native Khan over 8f at Doncaster at this stage of his career. The Doncaster showpice can be a very tough race on 2y olds. No doubt the two rival newmarket trainers will have discussed their intentions with each other already.
I suppose it’s a bit early to be thinking there’s Frankel Saamid and then the rest. If these two meet and one of them has a clean cut victory new challengers like eg Native Khan will be waiting in the wings.
September 27, 2010 at 15:45 #319703Visually impressive.BUT.What did he beat?Clammer was the nearest by a neck from Ballydoyle "fill the boxes" duo. So rate Clammer for me please.I was mildly in shock to see the poor quality of the field. Enough said. Many of Hannons tyos would probably replicate the feat of Frankel. As for the Ballydoyle duo nobody knows whether they are good or not(probably "not"). They certainly were not supported like Ballydoyle runners usually are in tyo races abroad.I for one don’t believe the field was group 2 level, maybe Listed but no better. That is what I think.Incidentally I am a devout Galileo fan. That makes Frankel special to me.
September 27, 2010 at 15:55 #319708Treasure Beach didn’t really impress me at Listowel (finished 2nd) although young O’Brien rode like a ****
September 27, 2010 at 16:47 #319712Frankel was wildly impressive yesterday, but it wasn’t a strong race by any stretch of the imagination and there has to be a doubt that he’ll train on. Rainbow View was similarly dominant as a juvenile and ultimately proved disappointing; it would be a shame to see this chap go the same way.
As 2yo, Rainbow View won a Group 2 by 2L from a filly that won one race in her next sixteen, albeit a Listed race. She won a Group 1 race by 2L (and a bit) from a filly that went on to win a Group 3 and a Listed race from her seven subsequent starts. Pretty decent form, but no “Wow” factor. Rainbow View ran in eight Group/Grade One races in the next year- she won one and was beaten 1L by Goldikova and 2L by Midday, etc. She has now won over One Million Dollars at today’s exchange rate. Not exactly disappointing I would have thought.
September 27, 2010 at 17:19 #319717I wonder how many of the people questioning Frankel on this thread have missed the fancy prices and are somehow trying to make themselves feel better?
September 27, 2010 at 17:48 #319720The form of the Newmarket maiden which Frankel won is starting to look fairly strong.
The 2nd home (Nathaniel) was beaten a SH by another H.Cecil horse next time, but the 3rd, 5th, 8th & 11th from that race, have all come out & won since.
Others who finished down the field in that race, like Elrasheed, Man of God & Maher, still have entries in the G1 Racing Post Trophy & assorted Derbys.
