I’d be pretty sure most Aussies felt the same about SYT – until he went a bridge too far stamina wise.
No one knows for certain whether Frankel will stay 10f, or even how much he will be tested at the distance, so to state that he’ll beat one of the best 10f horses in the world by 6l shows nothing more than your irrationality.

Reet my friend if there is one thing certain in life it’s Frankel will stay 10f standing on his head.

It’s all in the way he travels. Just ask yourself could he have kept in cruise control for another 2 furlongs at Goodwood the venue of his best win and the stiffest track he’s run on?

He was just lobbing long for 6 1/2 furlong with not a a care in the world and if TQ hadn’t have asked him to quicken he’d have lobbed all the way to line ans still won.

Consider the fact he has now settled more and is beginning to look like the complete racehorse and the fact the pace over 10f is rarely as fast as it is in mile races.

Frankel’s canter is so fast he might have to walk for 6 furlong just to stay behind them. This horse clearly takes very little out of himself when bowling along in front. Held up and relaxed he’d not even know he was in a race.

Stamina is a funny thing. To exploit it you must get the opponent off the bridle and if you cant do that then the distance becomes much less relevant he’s just going to sail past you on the steel.

2 furlongs extra to Frankel is nothing and won’t bother him 1 iota.

The reason people have doubts is that normally a horse so fast over 1 mile is unlikely to get 10f but Frankel isn’t normal and could go round the course twice and still not come off the bridle.

10f? this horse will get 12f if they give him the chance, mark my words.

That’s what makes the greats great like. Arkle and Kauto Star were over jumps. Run them at 2m. 2m4f 3m or 3m2f and if on song they produce exactly the same results because you can’t get them off the bridle to tap into their stamina.

As we seen with Denman it can be done but I’ll be damned if there’s anything around at 10f on the flat you could say was as comparatively good as he was over jumps.

I’ve decided charging you by the hour to educate you, so you can educate Ginger, is unfair, so I’ll send you a monthly rate asap :P

Anyone who thinks Goodwood a stiff track is hardly in a position to educate others, HGM.
The sharpest track he’s run over, off a slow early pace, and his most impressive victory, says far more about Frankel’s speed than his stamina.

I think Frankel’s latest win in the QEII gives the clearest indication that he will stay 10F or maybe even further.

The straight mile at Ascot is generally regarded as quite a stiff test with its uphill finish.

Remember in the race Frankel was asked to go in pursuit of Bullet Train with about 3F left to run, he was immediately tracked by Excelebration, Poets Voice and Dubawi Gold, Immortal Verse was held up towards the rear. Frankel got to Bullet Train with over a furlong to go by which time DG & PV had more or less been burned off, Excelebration was still close enough just over 1L behind and Immortal Verse by this time had come into the picture.

Inside the final furlong Queally gives Frankel a couple of reminders and he pulls clear of the "Moulin" winner who in turn was pulling clear of the "Marois" winner, indeed Frankel won going away from the victors of the two most prestigious mile races run in Europe since his Sussex win, and he was the the first to be committed to chase the pacemaker.

This shows me that 10F will not be a problem, in fact I’m of the opinion he will be even more dominant. As its been mentioned before, what can get him off the bridal early enough not to seriously compromise their own chances. We all know noting in the world would live with him over the last 2F off a slow pace, an intriguing dilemma for Ballydoyle.

I have no doubt that at some stage he will be faced with a Ballydoyle first string equipped with the usual array of pacemakers.
That said I am equally sure that they will have absolutely no chance of beating him if he turns up right on the day.
