    Fortune is a poor jockey (still haven’t forgot his abysmal ride on Paco Boy in the July Cup by the way)and its hardly surprising that Gosden doesn’t want him anymore the writing has been on the wall ever since he was jocked off for Dettori at the Breeders Cup two years ago.

    Buick is a much better jockey and has the potential and now opportunity to go right to the top.

    Fortune and Andrew Balding are the right level for each other – middle of the road.

    The doubts set in at Clarehaven after the ride Jimmy gave The Raven in the 2008 Sussex Stakes. That was the beginning of the end for the partnership.

    I’d rather have Fortune in a handicap though, when the money is down, particularly in a big field. One of the strongest finishers I’ve seen – unlike Buick who has a lot of filling out to do.

    I like that Max , sounds pretty true to me , and to be fair to william its hardly likely he will be as strong as JF just yet , but he is much more tactically astute and always seems to be in the right place at the right time
