Sorry mate, I was referring to Kilmarnock but it was Hamilton Academical they were playing, nice bet though, thanks
August 21, 2010 at 17:07 #314063Who cares who they were playing, they won!

I normally have about 3 accas up a season, it’s just nice to get one up so early.August 21, 2010 at 20:22 #314093
Debating whether to take the 11/5 on offer for Forest away at Reading today … the run has to come to an end sometime, doesn’t it ?
August 22, 2010 at 08:10 #314144Thanks Chris.
I’m backing Villa to win at Newcastle today, the Geordies are rubbish.
August 22, 2010 at 10:20 #314172Hmm, not convinced by Villa as yet even though I accept Newcastle are probably going to struggle this season … was bizarre watching James Perch play full back at Old Trafford on Monday when he struggled to get in the starting X1 for Forest last season.
Not expecting Man Utd to find it easy at Fulham today … wouldn’t have a bet but think 9/2 is reasonable value for an upset.
Today’s treble would be Rangers 8/11, Middlesboro 8/11 and Dundee Utd 8/15

Just had £90 Rangers -1 (2/1SJ)

Unluckly BHL – good selections though at a good price, I reckon we you should be having one or two trebles popping in quiet soon.

easy.August 22, 2010 at 21:10 #314286Ended up having a speculative £5 treble in Corals just for amusement … Newcastle 2/1 Middlesboro 10/11 and Fulham 5/1 … hey ho … got a run for my money and enjoyed the Fulham game immensely … pity the ref didn’t give the pen for the shirt pull by Vidic and Zamora missed a great chance before the Hangeland og.
On the plus side, I have Andy Carroll in my Premier League Fantasy team and have moved up several hundred thousand places this week from nearly 2 million entries
August 22, 2010 at 22:50 #314302Thanks Chris.
I’m backing Villa to win at Newcastle today, the Geordies are rubbish.
And if this sums up your knowledge of football, then I’m even more confident that Chelsea won’t win the league.
Newcastle are not rubbish… you don’t win the Championship in as easy fashion as they did by being rubbish Matthew. And what’s more they are a big club. So despite what money worries they have they can always borrow against their guaranteed income (55,000 at St James Park each week guaranteees you a lot of income), thus meaning they can buy more more players than the likes of Blackpool, Wigan, West Brum etc will ever be able to afford.
Newcastle were relegated the season before last because they fell for the sentimental manager – Keegan at the start and Shearer at the end. If Joe Kinnear hadn’t have fell so seriously ill Newcastle would never have been relegated.
They are easily a mid table team in my opinion, and obviously (aftertiming I know) this opinion can be backed up by their 6-0 thrashing of Villa today.
August 23, 2010 at 01:32 #314314Yeah i got that one wrong, luckily didn’t have a bet
On it though.Chelsea ARE the best side in the premiership though, the squad is top notch, maybe a few oldies but still awesome.

August 23, 2010 at 11:25 #314346Matthew, if I were you I’d keep the Chelsea superlatives on hold until they’ve actually faced a sterner test than they have so far.
Granted they can only beat what’s put in front of them but can’t help thinking that the fixtures computer must also be a Chelsea fan.
West Brom & Wigan … followed by Stoke, West Ham and Blackpool !!!!!!!! … first thing remotely resembling a test is Man City away on the 25th Sept … and then home to Arsenal the following Sunday … that should give us a better idea of what the "old legs" are capable of against the better sides

Myself, I prefer the uncertainty and frustration of watching a side like Forest … they have you tearing your hair out but I can’t imagine how boring it must be watching your team wallop in 6 every week
August 23, 2010 at 11:39 #314349Old legs
what about some of the old legs at Old Trafford
We beat every top team home and away last season and our team is identical, the title is an absolute certainty, I go home and away, believe me’, the team is class, getting better and better.
August 23, 2010 at 12:20 #314354Yeah, I thought that might wind you up
