I have been buying Mark Howard’s "One Jump Ahead" book since the late 90’s and this season turned over my biggest profit in a long time following his 40 to follow and inserting them into my RP Tracker.
I am wondering can anyone recommend a similarly successful "horses to follow" author for the forthcoming turf flat season. I know Mark has a Flat version of his book but even by his own admission he is more of a jumps specialist.
Many thanks in advance.

April 1, 2014 at 05:43 #473842I’ve always liked Mark Howards books. Others to consider are Timeform’s 50 to follow or Marten Julian’s dark horse annual. Both very good.
April 1, 2014 at 09:17 #473854I’ve followed many such lists by supposedly clued up pundits to no avail. About 10 years ago I used to keep a notebook of remarkable performances and whittle it down to 30 runners to follow in the following season. That used to work then but sadly, no more.
