Potato – they had almost 18mmm and the going was unchanged from Good to Soft, Soft in places
”
Absolutely battering it down right at this moment. When I say heavy I mean heavy.
I’m in worcester but it’s only 20 miles or so away. Will almost certainly be the same at chelt”
3mm in the last 24 hours.
Almost every post of yours ignores facts and reason.

March 10, 2019 at 10:44 #1400484I think it will be Soft (Heavy in places) on Day 1 and Soft Days 2-4. Threat of a strong headwind in the straight all week.

March 10, 2019 at 10:48 #1400485Soft day 1
S – g/s day 2
G/s day 3
G/s day 4
Bbc weather is as accurate for me as it gets and cheltenham dries like no other, the rainfall on tuesday morning should not be enough to maintain soft for 4 days
March 10, 2019 at 17:11 #1400543Absolute deluge of rain from nowhere, been absolutely battering it for a 40 minute spell. Roads have turned to lakes.
The team were not expecting that one today and was a lovely surprise.
Obviously I am 20 miles from track so cant guarantee that weather passed through chelt but it probably did or will.
March 10, 2019 at 17:22 #1400547Turning his attention to the ground, Claisse added: “The balance is only just in favour of good to soft. We do expect it to dry out on Monday but there are strong signals for a belt of rain on Tuesday morning bringing up to 12mm, so I’m still suggesting we’ll be starting on soft ground.
“The expectation is with showers forecast the ground will stay much the same, except perhaps when we open up fresh ground for the Gold Cup.”
March 10, 2019 at 17:39 #1400551It is now snowing on cheltenham racecourse as we speak.
The legend has now moved ahead of al boum photo on betfair and continues to shorten.
Native River is the new fav on betfair。

HOLD YOUR HANDS ALOFT
IF YOU LOVE TO HEAR SOFT
TIZZARD ASKED FOR A BLIZZARD, IT CAME AND WE ALL LEARNT HE MUST BE A WIZARD
March 11, 2019 at 10:45 #1400644Forecast is for possibly 16mm between now and racing tomorrow, 6-8mm during the festival.
March 11, 2019 at 13:10 #1400668Perfect ground drying conditions so far today, a nice blue sky with hot sunshine and a nice steady wind. It will be drying out faster than an egg in a desert out on track.
March 11, 2019 at 18:30 #1400727Any chance of the high winds generated by Storm Gareth playing havoc with proceedings tomorrow?
March 11, 2019 at 22:55 #1400783None whatsoever, the winds aren’t in a direction that will cause problems.
Rainfall by Friday is looking much much worse than was looking likely just a few days ago.
This could be the wettest festival in my memory. The bars will be crammed full. The forecast is.quite simply horrific and even more testing than last year now looks entirely possible and perhaps even most likely.

There are 2 ways to make big big money this year
Sell umbrellas and wellies and waterproof suits. Make a killing.
Or just chillax and go max on THE LEGEND HIMSELFA
March 12, 2019 at 07:29 #1400805Barely any overnight rain but supposed to be up to 11mm between now and the Supreme.
March 12, 2019 at 09:40 #1400837The rain has landed in the shires. It’s truly horriffic right now, absòlutely pelting it down.
20 miles away its dry but will start raining cats and dogs before the ITV morning show ends.
March 12, 2019 at 12:28 #1401352True for once potato, going now soft, but 3 dry days coming up, wont be soft for long!
March 12, 2019 at 12:36 #1401354its going to be raining every day of the week.
Today will be so awful it will feel untrue. Course will be heavy before racing has ended today. That’s almost certain.
Weds is then the best day in terms of dryness, plenty of rain thurs and fri mean the new course is a serious test.
It’s time to accept the facts. It’s going to be an exceptionally testing festival.
