I really wouldn’t be bothered about a lack of Group 1 winners in The Derby.
Two-year-old form is mostly irrelevant come a 1m4f race in June and the Guineas Classics form at 1m is often of limited relevance too.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"June 4, 2022 at 15:25 #1600537tbh I think the top four are all under-estimated in the betting, especially in the each way market.
Only other one I think is worth backing is rank outsider Sonny Liston.Value Is EverythingJune 4, 2022 at 15:55 #1600543I’ll try Westover ew. Good luck all.
June 4, 2022 at 15:59 #1600544I’ve thrown a bit of shrapnel in the direction of Nottingham evening winner West Wind Blows. Should be easy to spot in yellow as it fades out of view. Desert Crown and Changingoftheguard already covered.
June 4, 2022 at 16:13 #1600547Wouldn’t be surprised if Coolmore dictate the pace with Stone Age and Changingoftheguard natural front runners.

Value Is EverythingJune 4, 2022 at 16:23 #1600549I just think this Derby is a welcome throwback to when I first got interested in the 1970s.
Big field, lots of different owners and stables represented, “proper Derby.”

WinA real pity that Hollie Doyle is not here.
Thank you Lester for the many happy memories.
June 4, 2022 at 16:41 #1600555He thrashed them.
Wd winners.
June 4, 2022 at 16:42 #1600557VERY good colt, regardless of who was placed, and a great ride from Richard Kingscote who kept his cool to win the biggest race of his career.

June 4, 2022 at 16:43 #1600559Won well but Westover will give him more of a race next time they meet.

Quite right Ian, good race and the best horse won.
June 4, 2022 at 16:47 #1600562The winner is very good and settled it with a great turn of foot. Just wonder if Richard Kingscote went about half a furlong too earlier than ideal but I am really pleased for him that he won.
June 4, 2022 at 16:47 #1600563I’d love to see desert crown vs baaeed in the juddmonte International
June 4, 2022 at 16:47 #1600564Suspect they might have gone too fast early.
Desert Crown may be quite a bit better than distances indicate.Value Is EverythingJune 4, 2022 at 16:49 #1600566Trip was no problem, another example that the sire can get them to go far enough despite the speed on the dam’s side.
