I have backed Pyledriver in both runs this season and can’t see any reason to desert him here.
Beat Mogul fair and square and looks progressive. Guaranteed stayer and if he was trained by one of the top trainers would be no bigger than 5/1 for this.
Pleased to get 20/1 4 places with ladbrokes boost and am expecting a huge run. Forms in the book and the horse to beat.July 4, 2020 at 11:21 #1492642That’s a good post Running Rein.
I’m hoping that Mogul can turn out to be very good, but that draw will make things tough. He’s the one horse in this very average looking field who I think could go onto bigger things.
I’ve also bet Russian Emperor
July 4, 2020 at 12:03 #1492656Happy enough with my ante post on Vatican city at 16s, even though he
seems a bit on the slide in the market. I think that’s as much to do with jockey
bookings as anything else. I’m more than happy that Padraig Beggy is on him, he
knows the horse well and has won a Derby. I think he’ll ride a similar race to
that of Wings Of Eagles and come on the scene late.I also think that Khalifa Sat at 50/1 is well worth a punt E/W 4 places.
He’s one that I’m pretty sure will get the trip and may in fact improve for it. He
led all the way in the Cocked Hat at Goodwood, the same race that Troy won before
going on to take the Derby, and held off a strong challenge of Emissary. I’ll settle
for those 2.July 4, 2020 at 12:15 #1492660No frills, I vote for Kameko
July 4, 2020 at 13:47 #1492674English King 12-1 ew. Good luck all.
July 4, 2020 at 14:31 #1492679Is ground on soft side of good? That’s not good for kameko so
July 4, 2020 at 14:36 #1492680though last race set a course record so probably not on the soft side
July 4, 2020 at 14:47 #1492682Mogul is now a backable price. If he has progressed the way we are hearing, I now think he might win. Vatican City is puzzingly long priced. Not guaranteed to stay, but the family suggests he might.
Very open race though.
I hope English King doesn’t win, purely because I don’t like to see a jocking off rewarded.

July 4, 2020 at 16:54 #1492718English King getting very sweaty
July 4, 2020 at 16:57 #1492719Emissary looks so well and with so many doubts about staying, maybe he could finish in a place.
July 4, 2020 at 17:01 #1492720That’s what I call pacemaking,
what a historic shocker
July 4, 2020 at 17:02 #1492721Good winner on the day but what a mess of a race!
July 4, 2020 at 17:02 #1492722Had Serpentine along with a battery of others. Those who left him off though clearly were not watching the curragh last week. He had serious form.

July 4, 2020 at 17:02 #1492723An absolute joke. Plenty of jockeys left their brains in the weighing room.

July 4, 2020 at 17:03 #1492725Definitely wasnt the pacemaker hein, the irish named one was, he had the tactical speed turning the corner and whoosh he went,
The race was a farce from 2nd back
But the winner would have won regardless
English king/mogul in the leger are worth looking at, there boats
July 4, 2020 at 17:05 #1492727The jockeys in second and third need shooting
They were leading the main pack and have fallen asleep turning for home
Exactly like last years Irish Derby
Races like this are why I don’t bet big
English King would’ve come second but frankie gave him an easy time I think
I’d be annoyed if I’d backed him as he’d likely have won
