His groom has posted on Facebook that the former Epsom Derby winner, living in Sardinia, has died aged twenty-nine. Recent posts, just last week, showed him in magnificent condition for a stallion of his age, he was obviously well cared for and enjoyed the climate.

Peter Chapple-Hyam must be also wondering how fast time goes by. Incredible how many good horses he had 25 years ago and where he is now. His last decent horse – Authorized – was 11 years ago. Really miss those Turtle Island, White Muzzle, Colonel Collins (and so on) races….. Sangster, Sheikh Mo, Teruya Yoshida, Lord Weinstock…..
