Mozayada 3.30 SouthwellDecember 15, 2009 at 13:49 #263951Fancy Sparkling Taff in the 1.50 Catterick today. Has run with some credit and not beaten miles in last couple starts and stable is coming into form. Also has a low weight and is on a fair handicap mark. 9-1 looks fair each way price today. Thrown a few quid at it.
With reference to the Ferdy Murphy thread on hold up horses, I am not sure about Barton Sun 2.50 Catterick. I fancied him but can I back him? If he is held up and in last with a circuit to go you can know your fate…however as Watch my Back demonstrated on Saturday when they are pretty fancied they can win and win well!

Bay RebelDecember 16, 2009 at 13:30 #264080Probably just stick up one or two tips a day for a while. No interest in staking or profit/loss, these are just selections that from looking at the racecards briefly I fancy.
Today its Cloudy Spirit 1.45 Bangor at around 9-1. Got two at head of market to beat (Alverstone & Peddlers Cross) but I feel Cloudy Spirit has as good form as them, despite never winning. Reg Hollinshead has had his all weather string in decent nick and Paul Moloney has ridden the horse on all 3 previous starts.
Also, in the last at Newbury, the Fahey/Hughes combo of Lesanda appeals. Its a long way to go for a Fillies Bumper and that is the sole reason for this eyecatching engagement. Its Fahey’s only runner at the track and by and large the race has mostly "lesser" stables represented (exception of Doumen and NTD). At 7-2 Lesanda cant be unfancied.
Singles and an each way double on these two is my idea for the day.
December 17, 2009 at 13:47 #264238Arctic Magic 1.50 Exeter
Had a nice little pipe-opener at Leicester the other week and will handle the soft ground. On some of her form of the last 2 races in races at tracks like Newbury and Cheltenham she would have every chance of running into the frame at a big price today.
