Watching the 4.20 at Market Rasen, I noted that Highland Rain’s jockey, Sean Quinlan, had a beigy-brown stain on his breeches between his buttocks.
The patch was too concentrated in that particular area for it to be from a fall and both of his other rides today completed.
With the onus on keeping the weight down, I wouldn’t be particularly surprised if it were the case but I don’t want to be sure of it without knowing…
So was it poop?
If it wasn’t poop, what was it?
If so, is it a fairly regular occurrence in the weighing room and just taken as part of the game?If it’s a regular aspect of the game then I’m not deliberately calling out Sean Quinlan. He’s just the first jockey I’ve noticed carrying those particular colours.

He should be able to allay/increase your fears on this always controversial subject.
