Chabal going straight there according to big Jim!

He caught the eye more than a bit behind Kingsfort as a possible Derby horse but I’m wondering just how good that form is. Looked very poor by classic standard to me
Not being a huge fan of Kingsfort I would imagine there will be one or two fancied to beat Chabal in the Dewhurst.
I wouldn’t look past Artic if he turned up as he looks sure to get 7f and looks class above anything that ran in Chabal’s race.
Arctic is the best 2yo this season for my money. Still hoping for a decent price in the Middle Park due to the relatively unfashionable connections.
I have been watching Coolmore leading in 2yo winners with monotonous regularity this last few weeks and Godolfin buying them(2yo winners)I can’t help thinking where did Godolfin go wrong?Nobody else in racing could afford to throw away so much money breeding horses and then spend like a drunken sailor buying the best around to compensate for the failures of their breeding operation.They are becoming a bit of a joke except to Jim Bolger(him with the rosary beads) who must love to see them coming. If Chabal fails to deliver they will have egg on their faces.
Arcano for me. Solid group 1 form with the prix morny looking a hot race after special duty boosted the form.
I was fairly gutted about Chabal’s price as I thought Arcano would go off favourite as he does have the form.
I will stick with Chabal though, he wants fast ground he will get it here, ran on heavy last time, pulled like a train and put in a very good 2nd on a very quick re-apperance, and there was also strong quotes from Bolger a few weeks ago rating him a better prospect than Tefilo and New Approach.
I think he just has a bsit stronger pedigree over seven furlomgs than Arcano who is a top class horse no doubt.
Dick Turpin added at 20/1. Here’s hoping he turns up. If he’s confirmed tomorrow then this price is gonnae slide quick !!!

This leaves Chabal looking a bit of a good thing but I’m not convinc he is. I really don’t rate Kingsfort (bet you they cashed that cheque quickly) and think he’s beatable.
Steinbeck ay notbe AOB best but I’d have to side with him if he turns up.

The early season rumblings from the yard were that Steinbeck was showing the most promise of all AOB’s 2YO’s. Not sure how his setbacks may have affected him though and there is a concern this could be being used to sharpen him up for next year.
