Focusing on the non handicaps at the moment. Just putting out there my potential selections for the first day. These will be whittled down come the day.
Supreme Novices:
Moon Racer – best current form
Melon – interested to see next run
Charli Parcs – huge potential will be my main bet if runs here
Jenkins – thought he would be hendersons number 1 supreme horse this year. Hasn’t gone to plan but you can always forgive a horse 1 run and I’m convinced this horse could come back.Arkle:
ALTIOR – absolute monster – he will turn out to be the next SS. All my eggs are in one basket and this will decide my festival.Champion hurdle:
Yanworth – don’t believe he’s given enough credit and should be unbeaten over hurdles. Believe this horse could be a champion and haven’t seen his best yet.Brain power – I’m normally very quick to write off handicappers when they step into grade 1s but there’s something about this one especially since it’s a weak champion hurdle. He was 11st12lb last time and went very wide and still won convincingly a hot handicap. I was pretty taken a back by that and could improve again.
Mares:
VVM – if she runs she wins and I’m talking from my pocket as I’ve got her for this in a few antepost bets.
Augusta Kate – at a price this could be a good each way option
