For me David Lanigan is one of my favourite up and coming trainers and was wondering if anyone felt the same way?

“His first introduction to training racehorses came when he spent his school holidays riding out for Vincent O’Brien in Ballydoyle, John Oxx and Edward O’Grady” quoted from http://www.laniganracing.co.uk

“In November 2002 David assumed the position of assistant trainer to Henry Cecil and played a part in the success of Oaks winner Light Shift, Passage of Time, Multidimensional, Camacho and other top-flight winners.” quoted from http://www.laniganracing.co.uk

The performance of Meeznah in the Epsom Oaks looks like a sign of things to come in my opinion; it’s a fantastic achievement in 3 years!. I am disappointed by the fact that Neebras has now transferred to Godolphin, it’s hard for a young trainer to see a decent prospect leave so early for pastures new but I don’t know the reasons for that although I think it’s a little bad on Godolphin’s part.

I rate him too. We were very close to securing a Stable Tour with him but that trail just went a bit cold. It would have been very interesting and I’ll try and get him to help us with a ‘5 to Follow’ in the coming weeks.
