NEPTUNE EQUASTER To win Classic chase 13/2
Was never going last time out but in this race they should go at a good pace and the extra yardage will suit him as well.
I wouldn’t put you off this fellow Darren, anything that can lump 11-12 around Haydock and its stiff fences over 3 1/2m and still win has to be respected! The class horse
Hey Big Spender
is in a different league though and he can carry the weight, its whether he can avoid falling!
Blazing Bailey on his day has to be respected he’s an in-running dream though,so predictable after half a dozen fences!January 12, 2012 at 17:14 #386599Keep up the good work Darren! I’m looking forward to the
Sprinter Sacre
v
Peddlars Cross
match, there should be very little between this pair around Kempton.
Just noticed the above post!
I still maintain there’s very little between them if both put their best foot forward!January 21, 2012 at 12:37 #387641My tips today are
DYLAN ROSS 2.15 Naas
My tip for the supreme novices he have to win this well to book his ticket there. He got blinkers on today. So i hope that help him out in the finish. He be on the bit coming to the last. And i hope he wins.
FOUR COMMANDERS 1.40 Naas
3m will suit him on testing ground which it be at Naas today was behind Sir Des Champs but this 3m is the best trip for him.
SOMERSBY 3.10 Ascot
Was 2nd in race last year behind Master Minded always runs well at this course which is a good thing at Ascot.Though not sure what is best trip for him.
THE SAWYER 3.30 Haydock
This fellow loves testing ground always seem to win this month as well.Ran well at Cheltenham last time. And off a low weight can lead this field a merry dance.
KENTFORD GREY LADY 2.05
This mare done this thread a favour when winning at Kempton last time. And though this a step up in class she have enough class to beat them.
January 22, 2012 at 12:31 #387797MEMORABILLA 4.05 Market Rasen
Won nice last time was always going to get there only horse on the day for the in form John Ferguson as well.
HAZZARD COUNTY 4.05 Kempton
A horse that is a tricky ride but Laura Pike gets on well with the horse.Has a decent record at CD and if they go a good clip he should pick them off at the end.
January 27, 2012 at 17:03 #388551CAPE TRIBULATION To win Skybet chase 16/1
PLAN A To win boylesports hurdle 14/1
TIME FOR RUPERT 11/2 For Argento
January 28, 2012 at 13:15 #388685THE GIANT BOLSTER 2.05 Cheltenham
This horse can jump even though he fell a lot recentley but back at Cheltenham won at this meeting last year. And was a good 2nd behind Time For Rupert last time. And i hope he stays on his feet today and wins.
KNIGHT PASS 3.10 Cheltenham
Won well at Kempton last time out coming off a very strong pace to win cosy.Very highly regarded as well. And though a big step up in grade i think he beat the fav.
GULLINBURSTI 3.25 Doncaster
Though was all out to win last time that form been boosted since. And up in grade and trip for him.Should take it in his stride and win today.
SIR DES CHAMPS 2.15 Leopardstown
Has to give weight away. But this fellow should just beat Hidden Cyclone has looked good jumping fences though some say he was lucky i still think he would of won last time. And a win today and he be off to Cheltenham.
HAROLDS CROSS
Has been in tidy form 2nd last time out before that won well from Wicklow Lad.That horse opposes him today. But i think he run well again.
January 28, 2012 at 17:09 #388735FLEMENSTAR 1.25 Leopardstown
Was behind Bog Warrior on 1st start which not a bad thing looking at that horse.I think he can collect a Grade 1 here for Peter Casey best horse he is trained. And a star for the next few years.
LUKE’S BENIFET 1.55 Leopardstown
He keeps improving this season won 4 out of 8 starts and he can collect again. In this tough handicap.
OSCARS WELLS
A strong traveller he is i think he been in front to long in his races this season.A strong pace will suit him.And i hope he is in front after the last.
January 28, 2012 at 21:22 #388808THE GIANT BOLSTER 2.05 Cheltenham
This horse can jump even though he fell a lot recentley but back at Cheltenham won at this meeting last year. And was a good 2nd behind Time For Rupert last time. And i hope he stays on his feet today and wins.
Well played yet again Darren,I’ve said it before but you know your horses!
February 11, 2012 at 17:47 #390844SPORTSMASTER 1.05 Leopardstown
Won maiden hurdle by beating Hissabait who he faces again. His a good jumper and was unlucky on debut when brought down but made no mistake last time. And can go on and win this.
II FENOMENO 2.10 Leopardstown
This fellow beat Dylan Ross but did not run well last time something must of been wrong. He is a tough horse and the extra yardage will be in his favour as well.
CALL THE POLICE 2.40 Leopardstown
Taking a big step up in grade after only a beginners chase that day he jumped very well and was made to jump fences as well.A horse that could suprise a few tomorrow.
MAGNAMITY 3.45 Leopardstown
Needed the run last time and ran ok on return he be much sharper for the run and i think he win tomorrow.
February 11, 2012 at 22:37 #390882You should get a good run for your money with your selections for tomorrow Darren.
In the first I think either Ut De Sivola or Shadow Catcher will win. Your horse’s form is closely tied with these through Hisaabaat. I’d expect the winner of this to become favourite for the Triumph, and this could be the year for an Irish winner, because imo they look above average. This race should give us an idea who the main Irish challenger is, with only Minsk and Darroun not in the field.
Il Fenomeno has good form with Dylan Ross but so do Cash And Go and Lord Windermere. I think Dylan Ross will finish second to anything until he gets his optimum conditions. Il Fenomeno and Sous Les Cieux both have to bounce back from disappointing efforts and Cash And Go looks the most solid betting option. A race to watch I feel.
The Dr. PJ Moriarty only has four runners but all are above average I feel. Call The Police was hot favourite for the Coral Cup at Cheltenham last year and won well on his fencing debut. Shot From The Hip won a Grade 1 over hurdles but this might be a bridge too far in terms of class and distance. Lambro has excellent form in the book with Flemenstar and has earned his shot at Grade 1 glory. The only horse in the field I can see reaching the highest level though is Last Instalment. He’s got the form in the book and has had an outstanding season so far. If he’s evens or odds against tomorrow I’ll be having a bet.
The Hennessy is another race to watch imo. Quel Esprit is favourite almost by default because the rest of the field have question marks against them. Bostons Angel and Magnanimity need to bounce back while China Rock comes off the back of a nice hurdles prep. He has yet to win a Grade 1 however and could fins one too good again. He’s probably the safest bet in the field but with only seven runners I have no desire to watch him come home in third with my each way money on him
. So Quel Esprit is a good thing? No, he only needs one of his rivals to bounce back to form to have a serious race on his hands. Magnanimity looked to have him cooked on this card last year, although one could say the opposite in the RSA before Quel Esprit fell. The race would be far more interesting in my opinion if even one of Jessies Dream, Synchronised and Quito De La Roque had turned up.Elsewhere on the card, I think I’ll take a chance on Gimli’s Rock bouncing back to form in the handicap hurdle. They’ve left the furries off and have a new jock on board in an attempt to cod him into an effort. On his day he’d carry these. I’m also thinking of a place bet on Viking Splash. He stays forever and nothing will relish the hill more.
February 13, 2012 at 20:33 #391186THM
What you think of racing yesterday i thought Call The Police ran a cracker of a race going so well just did not pick leader up.
I don’t think any horse from Ireland will win triumph unless Minsk comes out on debut and wins easy which i think will happen.
Quel Esprit will need to improve more as well.
February 16, 2012 at 22:09 #391745Tips at Newbury are
ZARKANDAR To win betfair hurdle
This horse is well in with form working out from the triumph hurdle win though the champion hurdle is the main target he still should win this
MONTBAZON 1.50 Newbury
Won a easy hurdle race last time out but will go close tomorrow when facing Colour Squardon who beat him last time.I expect him to turn form around tomorrow.
STOW 2.25 Newbury
Won at Newbury before so likes the course stable been firing winners as well. And last few runs have been good as well i expect a big run tomorrow.
GEVERY CHAMBERTIN 3.30 Newbury
A full brother to Grands Cruis he bolted up on debut just won so easy that form may not be strong but could not of won it more easier.
February 17, 2012 at 19:03 #392000KAUTO STONE 3.00 Ascot
Won well on debut in Ireland was then 2nd to Sizing Europe in tingle creek. That trip was 2m he is much better over this longer trip which will suit him.
ALWAYS RIGHT 3.20 Haydock
Was dissapointing last time was pulled up but before that was progressing very well and at this trip i think he bounce back.
February 17, 2012 at 21:11 #392021Well done mate, a couple of nice winners again. That chase at Ascot tomorrow should be a good one. BG thinks Riverside Theatre should run a nice race, and obviously Kauto Stone looks a good horse. I think i’ll just watch.
