I didn’t have a bet on the Eurasia Cup Darren, team golf is not something
I’m really into. I love the Ryder Cup, but again rarely have a bet on that
one. I maybe should consider betting individual players, as top players in
a group, at least the odds are a bit bigger.

I am going to have a bet at the half way stage of the JOBURG OPEN. I’m
taking a chance on JUSTIN WALTERS who is 9 under par, five off the lead
held by Ross McCowan. Walters has been in reasonable form over the last
month, and his 4th place in last week’s South African Open gives him a
shout. 16/1 will give me a bit of interest for the last couple of rounds
which resume about 5am our time on Saturday.

Your man O’Hair, at 150/1, is doing well at this time (8.45pm Friday) in
the Sony Open, he hasn’t started his 2nd round yet, whereas the leaders
are all half way through theirs and he is only 4 off the lead at 5 under.
Good luck with him and your other choices :good:

No luck last week on golf better luck this week i hope.

JORDAN SPEITH 9/2 To win Abu Dhabi championship

Only problem for him is not play here before but the world no1 can win this title he adapts to playing on new courses very well putting is outstanding. And his romp at Tournament of champions proves he in awesome form to win here.

    RICKIE FOWLER 16/1

With Rory making 2016 return got a great record but not won here.Stenson just had knee surgery and course lover Kaymer 3time winner but blew a 10 shot lead last year.Fowler 2nd bet here open up last year with a 5under then wheels came off.But he better player now won titles since then and was in tournament of champions while he play well he can be main danger to Speith

    BYEOUNG HUN AN 33/1

Was 12th here on debut last year and can improve on that though Asia got tonked last week he played well and can be expected to go well he getting more experiance on these desert layouts think he go well here

    THORBJORN OLESEN 80/1

Has two top five finishs here in 2012 and 2013 he won Alfred dunhill links title and has proven before how much he likes events in UAE and though making first start of 2016 of big prices he my pick.

Hi Darren, I’ve missed the tee off for the Abu Dhabi, I’ll have a bet or two
in running, I’ll post them when I do.

I am having a bet in the CareerBuilber Challange on the PGA Tour. I think that
at 33/1 Kevin Na (7 places with Paddy Power) is a decent bet. He was hitting
form towards the end of last year, finishing 2nd twice in October and a decent
3rd in the CIMB Classic. He had a break from November until he came out last
week and was pretty solid finishing 28th, with 3 rounds in the 60’s. Hopefully
that will have blown away the cobwebs and he will be back to his form of the
    end of last year.

Good luck with your bets in the Abu Dhabi :good:

Hi Darren, as you know I missed the start of The Abu Dhabi,
but said I would probably have an in running bet.

I’ve gone for an in running bet on Jordan Speith. He’s not having
the best round in his 2nd round, he is 1+ for the round having
played 10 holes and 3- for the tournament (7 off the lead).

As a consequence he has drifted out to 10/1 with Betvictor.
I’ve taken some of that, as he is the type of player that
can just hit a purple patch and come roaring back up the field.

Qatar masters bets.Start a day earlier this week they do.Farmers insurance bets tomorrow night

    SERGIO GARCIA 9/1

Sergio went close here in 2013 when Wood got a eagle at 18th hole.Garcia enjoys playing here and fact he not play yet this year is a postive he normally does well of a break.

    BERND WEISBERGER 28/1

He was bang there last year but faded badly on final day he has that in him but he loves a course that suit his big hitting style and won french open last year.Think he go well.

    GEORGE COETZEE 33/1

Has good form here over the last 3years joint 2nd in 2013 and has comeback this year played well so far like Weisberger he has power and this course lover can make a impact here

    THORBJORN OLESEN 80/1

This is a links style course and he has strong form on courses like that won Alfred dunhill at 200/1 and at current price this week he can go well loves playing these layouts.

Well done Darren with Rickie Fowler, 16/1 was a great shout :good: .
I was happy with Na getting a place, it didn’t look like he would,
but he birdied the last 3 holes to take T3

Im putting my money on MATHEW FITZPATRICK in the Qatar Masters.
He was a model of consistency lat year, having 10 top 10 places,
6 of those in the 1st 3 and a nice win in The British Masters
in October. He was a reasonable 28th last week in the Abu Dhabi,
hopefully that will have put him right for this.

    I’ve taken 25/1 e/w with Betvictor for the tournament, and 40/1 e/w
for the 1st round leader, again with Betvictor

I think you have a great shout at 80/1 with THORBJORN OLESEN, he can
be a great player when on song.

GEORGE COETZEE is a player I’ve bet a few times, and as you said, he
seems to like it over there.

Best of luck with all your guys :good:

    Bets for Farmers insurance open

    BRANDT SNEDECKER 18/1

Day was a 14/1 winner for me in this last year half that price now. While Abu Dhabi hero Fowler be a bit tired and jet legged.Main bet is Sneds. He loves playing here won it in 2012 and 2weeks ago lost a playoff to Gomez. No doubt he be there on sunday can win this.

    BILL HAAS 33/1

Bill has started year of ok and here at farmers has played well to i think he could suprise a few this week on course he likes

    GRAHAM DE LAET 55/1

Still a us pga maiden on tour but has form here only a matter of time before he gets first win and it can be this week on course where he had top ten finish

    EMILLIANO GRILLO 66/1

Won frys.com last year and so far this year play on courses that not really suited him.But course this week be a tough test so not be a birdie fest these courses suit him really well.Grillo can con contend here.

    JOHN HUH 150/1

Huh was 6th here in 2012 and while not won since 2012 as well he has shown promise this year so far.Played well last week and at a price can do well.

Big g any bets on farmers

    Hi Darren

    The Farmers Insurance Open.

I’m completely with you this week, I think Brandt Snedecker is a
great bet at 18/1. He has been in top form his last three starts,
finishing 1st, 3rd and 2nd in that order. I thought about betting
him e/w, but rather than half my bet I’m putting it on the nose,
with the slight safeguard that Boylesports are offering money
back if your golfer finishes 2nd or 3rd.

I think that PATRICK REED is in with a shout too. He didn’t quite
get it together last week in the CareerBuilder Challenge last week,
a par final round not improving his 10 under par score. However,
prior to that he has finished 10th, 7th, 2nd, 12th and 2nd in his
previous starts. He is due a win and this could be it.
25/1 with Paddy Power e/w 1/5th odds 7 places is a bit of a steal
    I think.

I’ll stick with those two at the moment, but if things aren’t going
well I will probably have a bet in running.

Good luck for this week :good:

My man in the Qatar Masters, MATHEW FITZPATRICK has all but blown his chance
in the 1st 11 holes, he’s 4 over, 11 off the pace. He won’t recover from that,
so I’ve take the 12/1 on BRANDON GRACE with Betvictor. He’s not had the best
of round so far, 3 birdies, but also 2 bogeys. At 1 under he’s far from out of
it, I think Betvictor are being over generous, he’s generally 8 or 9/1.

I hope he does better than Fitzpatrick has

Hey Darren, Ive just seen that Jason Day has withdrawn from the Farmers with flu like symptoms, liked your selection of Snedeker when I read it, after Days withdrawl have backed him myself. I really saw an inform Day as a good sort but too short, so really opens up what should be a nice event. Good luck to you!

Hi, just to let you know that Jason Day is still in the Farmers Insurance Open.
I’ve just checked and he is even after 3 holes played.

Maybe a couple of Lemsips have done the trick

Thanks Raymo, I’ve taken KJ Choi at 6/1 on the nose.
Snedeker and Reed have shot their bolt, so it will give
    me a bit of interest.

Good luck with Blixt and Jacobsen :good:

You were near with Olesen Darren, but at least, as you say,
Grace looks in very decent form and must be in with a decent
shout in The Open. Your 66/1 on him looks pretty good now, only
a couple 50s available, but as low as 33s.
