Steinbeck. To win ST James Palace 5/1 Coral
The birds will need to be signing for him come Ascot ran a decent race to be 4th behind Canford Cliffs. Will be coming on for that run. Will need extra to win this race but as a big fan of him i can see him doing it.
May 26, 2010 at 09:36 #296936Age Of Aquaruis to win Ascot Gold cup.8/1 Hills
Was injured before the ST Leger last would of probaly won the race when you think he had beaten Mastery,Father Time and Kite Wood all before. was 2nd behind Calvaryman before that horse went on to be 3rd in the arc. However he is a stayer. On sunday he race next the last time O’Brein won this race was when Yeats won it.Which points out to me he is seen this race as a prep for the Gold Cup.
May 26, 2010 at 09:41 #296938Genki.To win Wokingham 12/1 Betfred
When you think Genki was 4th last time out in a Newmarket race which form of the race is working out well. Both Parisian Pyramid and Rileyskeepingfaith come out and won Genki could be a group horse in this race. Also won a big handicap at Goodwood last year beating Markab who went on to win 3 of his next 5 races. Genki is the horse to beat.
Any thoughts on these tips i give guys
May 26, 2010 at 10:28 #296947No winners and plenty of non-runners for you so far Darren.

May 30, 2010 at 18:04 #297673That idiot Grimthorpe has said Main Aim may not go for Golden Jubille idiot he is. he then went on to say Main Aim is better at 6f with rain.He could get that at Ascot
Who cares if Showcasing is in there. put both of them in the race. This guy gets on my nervesGoldikova. To win Quuen Anne 5/2.Paddy Power
The best miler in the world has beaten Paco Boy before and Henrythenavigator in the race as well.Hannon has said he has improved well so as Goldikova she win easy just to good for them all.
June 10, 2010 at 21:00 #299854Stoic to win Royal Hunt Cup.Royal Ascot.20/1 Ladbrokes
Very good horse last year he beat Pentinet who went on to win the Lincoln. And Fanunalter.Who went onto to win a listed race.Went to Meydan but unlike Leahurst did not do well there. But on turf again is the sort of lighty raced horses this trainer does well with. And has a big chance to win at Ascot
June 12, 2010 at 11:13 #300130Hey Darren! – it seems as though we have another Mr. W on here?!

I saw your tips for Ascot in the RP today?!

Did you see that ‘Dar’ & ‘Dary’ might clash in the Grand Prix De Saint-Cloud?

June 15, 2010 at 09:48 #300702Strong Suit.To win 2000 guineas 33/1.Hills
Going the same route as Canford Cliffs last year.Won the same maiden and was very impressive with the way he put the race to bed.A very high crusing speed has.The 2nd came out and bolted up as well. And if he wins today he be much shorter in the betting.
June 23, 2010 at 10:11 #302730Mikhail Glinka to win St Leger.Best price 12/1 Paddy Power
Though only just winning by a nose at Ascot over 2m this horse showed toughness and a will to win at any costs. a drop back to 1m6 will not be a problen for this tough horse.
June 23, 2010 at 10:14 #302731Fleeting Spirit to win July cup 6/1 with Hills
Had the wrong draw at Ascot was drawn high but came 4th this will put her spot on for the July cup she won this race last year. And she will be the horse they have to beat.
July 19, 2010 at 20:24 #307363Daryakana to win King George.Current best price 16/1 Hills.However got 20/1 last week
Back on a right handed track i see this French fillie running a big race. She get the strong pace she needs and will be finishing like a train so get on this top class horse.

You might have something here, my original fancies in order were Profound Beauty, Harbinger and Age Of Aquarius, two miss the race and I’ve serious concerns about Stoute’s recent form, I can’t see any of this year’s 3-Y-Olds winning, IMO they are nowhere nearly as good as last year’s which doesn’t leave many options. I’d always take a good mare against a good horse so looks like I’m with you as she’s got some record going right handed.

I know nothing about Darren but we all have bad runs, I had mine (a shocker) at The Festival this year but recovered to make a substantial profit on the season thanks to Hunter Chases and I think it’s fair to say that I’ve shown on this forum that I do know how to make a profit from racing, even the flat.
On this occasion I agree with Darren, in the absence of Profound Beauty, Daryakana will do for me, I’d say she looks a cast iron EW to be in the 1-2-3, in fact I’ve had only my second Ante Post bet of the century, OK the other one didn’t run but that’s why I don’t (usually) bet AP.
Considering Michael Stoute’s current form would you really be shocked if one or even both his runners were withdrawn? Surely a bad run by Workforce would seriously affect his stud value?July 20, 2010 at 13:10 #307501That’s all well and good CS but if you start a thread with the words
"I am brilliant ante-post backer"
then you have to accept some flak if your only winner to date is a 5/2 shot picked 2 weeks before the race.
