    After a career involving 100 races since 2006, his luck ran out today. Fatally injured at Wincanton. Condolences to connections. R.I.P. old boy

    I followed Fergals horses last season and Dark Energy was one I looked out for. If only he’d been at his beloved Market Rasen. RIP

    Very sad news. He was on my horse tracker waiting for his favourite conditions too.

    It seemed like Dark Energy’s jumping had fallen apart recently, so perhaps something was bothering him. I guess we’ll never know :( RIP

    Looking at his last few races it does look as if he was trying to tell everyone he’d had enough; that makes it even sadder.
