I’ve had a look today in some detail at results so far as they’ve been dissapointing.
I’ve been doing well at the shorter priced selections. For selections starting at 6/1 and under I’m showing a decent strike rate of 34% and a healthy profit over turnover % of 15.7% (based on level stakes).
Where it has fallen apart is on those horses starting at 13/2 and higher. We’ve not had a single winner at those odds from 69 selections.
Using the formula for calculating longest losing run (kindly provided on a thread somewhere by Cavelino Rampante some time back) at the average odds of those selections we get a losing run expectation of 62 so hopefully the winners are just around the corner!
Three running for us today at longer prices, let’s hope one of them goes in.
Well, all three ran well at big prices yesterday but no cigar and the hunt goes on.
