It always seems to be the case that these much anticipated clashes doesn’t come off and to put the lid on it the hot favourite gets stuffed.
Easy to say that Don Cossack would have hosed this but the Gold Cup form was represented here and was lamentable on all fronts, so who is to say what might have been had the winner of that race been here.
Not been a favourite backers meeting, that’s for sure.
What will be the excuse for Cue Card this time?
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
April 27, 2016 at 21:35 #1243758Well done Big G!!
I must admit I followed you in but only got 14/1 !!Once again well done

Cheers Raymo, I was travelling from midday with Mrs BigG down to her sister’s just
beside Stratford. I didn’t see any of the racing, and only just got to watch the race
on my computer as my sis in law doesn’t like horse racing…..what’s wrong with the
woman
. I managed not to read the result before watching it. It was a great
result for me, and after The Young Master winning on Saturday, I had more than I
really should have had on him. We’re going on to see my son and his wife at the weekend, they stay in Oxford, so it will
make the weekend even more special. If BURATINO wins on Saturday, I can see my Betvictor
account going the same way as my Coral and Ladbrokes accounts. When I tried to place the
bet after midnight on Sunday with Betvictor they restricted it, so I waited till about
8.30 on Monday morning and this time they took the bet. To be fair to Betvictor that’s the
first time they have tried to restrict a bet of mine and I’ve been with them longer than
any of the other online bookies, and I’ve just about got them all.Well done taking the 14s Raymo, lets hope our luck holds out a bit longer
April 27, 2016 at 22:38 #1243760Well done Graham what a great bet at Punchestown on Carlingford Lough and Raymo 14/1 was still a good price
I’m not surprised with so many top horses running that the NH is still taking such a high profile stance just before the Guineas Meeting kicks off but most of my attention this week has been checking weather forecasts at Newmarket to see how the ground is fairing.
I live 45 miles from Newmarket and can say that although we have had rain most days it has been sporadic and the sun has been out every morning up to around midday..Hopefully that will bode well for our boy Buratino Graham (and TAPK
) and you can still come over and join Paddy Power if Victor chucks you out ;) Just let him WIN.I’ll be front row of the top stand that looks down on the action, you can see the whole race. I watched Frankel and Dawn Approach win from there but you have to be nippy on the day to get up there so I’ve got my bets on and I’ll be shooting up in the lift to get the best front seat and cheer him home for us.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 27, 2016 at 22:56 #1243762Thanks Jac, I’m really looking forward to Saturday and Buratino, I really think you I and
TAPK can land the spoils
Actually although I have him with BV, my main bet on him is actually with Paddy Power…..maybe
I’ll get flung out of both
April 27, 2016 at 23:05 #1243764Well done Graham and Raymo

Well done lads ‘Carlingford’ should never have been a 20/1 shot those sit and wait tactics work perfectly. My 2/1 about ‘Cue Card’ looked great for most of the race but when Paddy went from taking a pull to pushing in a matter of strides it was obvious his long season had taken its toll.I half expected it and was tempted to cash out at Even money for a profit…Greed got the better of me.

I agree TAPK, I think it was just a race too far for Cue Card. He’s been the horse of the
season. Are you going to stick with him for the big one next year Gord? He’s an exceptional
animal but you have to go back nearly 50 years for the last winner aged older than 10,
(What A Myth in 69 at 12) He would be a legend if he could pull it off.April 28, 2016 at 20:09 #1243851Thanks Jac, I’m really looking forward to Saturday and Buratino, I really think you I and

April 28, 2016 at 22:49 #1243859Best of luck there Gord, you’re well ahead of the posse with both. Best prices now Cue Card 11/1 and
Thistlecrack 8/1. If I felt more certain that Thistlecrack would be heading there I’d be in there with
you, but I suppose if it was certain he wouldn’t be 8/1. I think whatever he runs in next year he wins,
he’s that good. - AuthorPosts
