Just shows what know-nothing idiots some of them are.
State Man is a decent horse and would be a worthy winner of many Champion Hurdles.
The priority tomorrow with Constitution Hill will be to win the race, not obtain an all-time high rating.
He might win by 15 lengths, he might coast home by a much narrower margin.
I think we are about to see the best Champion Hurdler since Istabraq, maybe even Night Nurse, and possibly the best ever.
Anyone who thinks that’s boring isn’t seeing the game through the same eyes as me – I pity them!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"March 13, 2023 at 15:19 #1638859Or since Espoir d’Allen, a 15-length winner as a 5-yr-old…..
March 13, 2023 at 17:00 #1638888Constitution Hill has just scared off the opposition in the same way Frankel did in the 2012 Sussex Stakes. For a horse to frighten off rivals like this only adds an extra facet to its formidable prominence.
Constitution Hill has the acceleration, attitude, gears, quick jumping, temperament and linear speed to take the race apart tomorrow.
Another weapon he has in his armoury is a wonderful stride angle. I’ve taken screen shots of Constitution Hill and Frankel in full stride and compared them by dissolving the shots. They’re almost identical. These economy strides literally take lengths off other horses the longer and faster these champions travel.
March 13, 2023 at 17:45 #1638898It has been enjoyable to read all this thread again today, especially the comments from some of the people who do not seem to post anymore. I hope they are all OK.
53 pages but the talking ends tomorrow.
At least I got this bit right!
“The front page of the “Racing Post” says Honeysuckle will stay in training for one more year to try to win a third Champion Hurdle before retiring to the paddocks.
I wonder if she will end up going for a second Mares Hurdle instead, after Constitution Hill sweeps imperiously to victory at Newcastle, Kempton and Sandown.”
All right, I could not have known the Sandown race was going to be discontinued!
At least Davy Russell was right. Constitution Hill is not going to be anywhere near Honeysuckle. Because her connections are running her 40 minutes later instead.
March 13, 2023 at 17:57 #1638902Mike, whoever said that hasn’t a clue. State Man has an official rating very close to Hurricane Fly and Faugheen’s before they won their first champion hurdles.
Beating him 15 lengths results in CH being made the highest rated hurdler of all time.March 13, 2023 at 18:09 #1638907To be fair 52 of the pages are Chezza proclaiming him as the. 2nd coming … Tomorrow he’ll prob prove it

March 13, 2023 at 18:51 #1638914Chezza won’t get much sleep tonight – it’s like Christmas Eve!
I strongly recommend everyone logs off TRF for at least a day if Constitution Hill wins – the Chezza gloating upon the “weighed in” signal will reach new nauseating heights!

March 13, 2023 at 19:40 #1638923“Tenner?”
Chezza should be so lucky.
The William Hill Organisation software just informed Chezza that £1 is the maximum stake for the Chezza account.

March 13, 2023 at 20:10 #1638929Only an act of God can stop him now – Chezza’s considering going to Evensong, just in case.
Oh, Chezza just remembered – Chezza’s banned because of that missing lead off the church roof business a while back.

March 14, 2023 at 11:48 #1639038Constitution Hill
11.48AM Tuesday.
Currently, 365 are offering a bet boost on him winning at
EVENS
March 14, 2023 at 11:57 #1639043Sadly, Chezza is denied such things – the William Hill Organisation would only offer Chezza £1 at their Evens (Chezza took it anyway on a point of general principle) and Bet365 keeps telling the Chezza account all offers have expired.
Anyway, less than four hours to go until they’re weighed in and Chezza hopefully gets to makes very possibly Chezza’s most annoying posting on TRF EVER – and that’s a bold statement because Chezza’s set a very high bar for annoying postings over the years!
And if the unthinkable happens and “The Hill” gets beat?
“That’s racing!”

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"March 14, 2023 at 12:30 #1639050Ian, I’ve held my tongue on this BUT the time has come.
Do you really have to refer to yourself as ‘Chezza’ multiple times in every post.
It is infantile, wearisome and not in the least bit amusing.
March 14, 2023 at 12:45 #1639054£40 with 365.
Probably close every account that backs it if it wins.

Chezza’s genuinely sorry that David’s upset about this.
It’s only a bit of fun in banter with other forumites, a few of who do actually seem to be amused by it.
Maybe David should read his own forum rather more often than David apparently does in an endeavour to stay – or get – in touch with the zeitgeist of it?
Chezza will nevertheless, out of respect to the proprietor of TRF and those who share his views, try to confine such harmless light frivolity more to the Lounge going forwards.
