Ian maybe one should play her for the mares race just in case … I don’t think she will get beat but I don’t think she,’ll win easily either .. If she did then 1/4 for CH

The OR say she wins eight lengths from Klassical Dream.

If she wins further, or with equivalent ridiculous ease, she might shorten and Constitution Hill may ease a bit.

But if she makes heavy weather of it then, even allowing for first time out (which didn’t exactly hinder “The Hill” at Newcastle), you have to start to wonder what happens next.

And if she actually gets beat….scenes!

Honeysuckle’s connections are (rightly) immensely proud of her. I can’t easily picture them running her in the mares’ race at Cheltenham as I think they’d consider it an insult to her. In any case, coming second in the Champion Hurdle pays more than winning the mares’ race.

Her connections have not ducked a challenge so far, and she’s regularly been campaigned in open company. I’ve not seen anything to suggest her remaining unbeaten is their main priority.

If Honeysuckle gets beat or makes very heavy weather of winning tomorrow, I can see her being retired.

She should win eight lengths, but racing has a chequered record with “should.”

Now that he’s definitely only got to show up, me, Ben and everyone on ante-post are starting a rota to guard “The Hill” 24/7 until Nico has safely weighed in in March.

The horse has become the great TRF 2022-2023 ISA/Pension Fund/Endowment Policy.

For legal reasons, it sadly can’t be an armed guard, but everyone on duty will be given “Careful Now” and “Down With This Sort Of Thing” placards before each Tour Of Duty.
